Honey Bee Playful Pastels It's a Girl! card with Sketch N Scrap

I worked in my craft room as much as possible today and managed to create this card with only hours to spare using a sketch from Sketch N Scrap.  My niece recently had a baby girl and this is for her.

Here is the sketch I used Sketch N Scrap sketch #271.

I had the die cut in my stash so I can't remember where it was cut from.  I looked at my 6x6 paper stacks and right on top was this Pretty Pastels from Honey Bee.

All the papers are from this paper stack.  I think found the crotched flower in my stash.  It had a large hole so I dug around for something interesting to put in the center.  I found an appropriate vintage pastel button.

I finished off the card with a couple of iridescent flower sequins.

 Ingredients:
Honey Bee Playful Pastels 6x6 papers
It's A Girl Electronic die cut
Crocheted flower
button and sequins

Stampin Up Happy card for Atlantic Hearts Challenge

Happy day!  I have a happy card today using the latest Atlantic Hearts Challenge sketch.  I used my go to Stampin Up products for a beautiful coordinating card.  I am not a demo and rarely even purchase Stampin Up first hand, therefore, I am sure most of this is old stock.  I also substituted since I don't own all the latest colors.  The card base is from my stash and most likely not SU.

Here is the sketch for this week:

I like to give my butterflies some life by only adhering adhesive to the center and manipulating the wings go stand up a little.  I placed the butterflies I stamped and punched along a die cut vine.

The angles are very unique and I was left with several angled scraps.  I used them and more butterflies to create several other cards. Look for the rest of the cards to be posted in a couple of days.

Ingredients:
Spellbinders Foliage Two
Karen Burniston Word Set 3-Holiday
Stampin Up Butterfly Kisses 6x6 papers
Stampin Up Papillon Potpouri stamps and coordinating butterfly punches
Stampin Up inks: Crushed Curry. Groovy Guava, Lemon Lime Twist
Stampin Up Opaque Adhesive backed gems

Storytellers Club Falling into Fall with Sketch N Scrap

I finished my weekend scrapping a couple of more pages. Simple but pulled some really old stash and used it up!  These designer papers and embellishments are from a Storytellers Club kit from 2009.  Does anyone remember the Storytellers Club?  I was a member for a couple of years around 2008-10 I am guessing.  It definitely satisfied my appetite for club kits for years to come.  I still have dozens of kits.  I finally split them up when I was organizing by the Totally Tiffany method.  I have used much more of the kits than if I had left them "kitted".  I had the paper and die cuts in my fall themed papers.

I used a couple of more sketches from Sketch N Scrap Monthly Challenges group,

Layout number two utilizes an extra item not in the kit. This was a pack of white borders.  I used Distress Fozziled Amber ink to color it.

The final sketch.  I am switching to card making for my next projects.

Ingredients:
Storytellers Club Falling into Fall 2009 kit
Tim Holtz Distress ink in Fossilized Amber
misc card stock including Stampin Up Early Espresso
White die cut border

Fancy Pants Fabulous Fall layout with Sketch N Scrap sketch

I am just scrapping away this weekend.  This one is more on the simple side but complete. Yah!  I am using another sketch from Sketch N Scrap. In the photo it doesn't look straight but rest assured I use a grid mat, everything is straight!  It's just wonky in my photo.

HERE is the sketch.

I hate not being able to give creidt for a product.  I searched Cricut and Miss Kate Cuttables for this title and I can't find it anywhere.  It is highly likely I received it in a cut trade years ago.  I am just happy I finally used something from my stash!

I found the pack of Stampin Up Early Espresso card stock at my local thrift store for $1!  I will definitely get my money's worth.

Ingredients:
Fancy Pants All Fall papers:  Penmanship and In Line
Title cut and leaf from my stash
Creative Memories fall stickers
Tutti Designs Stitched Nesting Tag die
Stampin Up Early Espresso card stock

Fancy Pants True Friend with Sketch N Scrap sketch

Keep on keepin' on...another two page layout.  This time I am utilizing a sketch on the Sketch N Scrap Monthly Challenges group.  I am also using some new to me papers and dies. I purchased a bulk pack of this paper from my favorite store Indigo Hippo.  The pattern is kind of bold but the reverse side is the off white I used for the strip and the tag die cut.  I took these photos in a hurry last night and edited them in bed very late...they are a bit washed out. Forgive me?

On page two I altered the area of the title because I did turn both of the sketches and I felt the this was  better title placement. I was very excited to use some new dies that arrived just Friday afternoon.

Here are both pages together.  I turned the direction of the background paper as to not look like they were identical.

Here is the sketch

Ingredients:
Fancy Pants True Friend paper Inseparable
Tutti Designs Stitched Nesting Tag die
Basic Grey Heritage stickers
Creative Memories sticker letters
misc card stock

One probably needs to be a member of the group but here is the link to the challenge:

Good morning.  I am on a scrapping goal to complete this Connecticut album.  I hopped over to Sketch N Scrap to check out what sketches were up this month.  I love using sketches to speed up my creation process. This first page is inside the Muddy Waters Cafe where we ate breakfast.  I have another layout with the naming. So the title here is simply Seaside View.

A close up of my cluster.  I used sticker and embellies I found in my nautical section of my Scraprack.

Hot off the Press Steampunk and Guest Designing for Lasting Memories

Today is my final installment as guest designer for Lasting Memories Layout challenges.  This week's challenge is to use gold.  I tried to sprinkle several golden pieces into my layout of my bestie, Cyndi.

I dropped a brad in the center of this metal gear embellishment.  I layered it on top of a glitter flourish sticker. The sticker had multiple pieces and I layered gems on top of more of the pieces.

I did the same here adding Stampin Up Opaque Gems to the glitter flourish stickers by Momenta.I tucked a metallic gold doily behind Cyndi's photo.

I also created the gem embellishment.  I used a black die cut piece from my stash.  I found an oval die that fit perfectly behind the gem and on the existing die cut.  I have to remember which oval fits, I will use this combination again.  I cut that oval in a coordinating color and layered the gem and both die cuts.  It still needed something else.  I added some more gems to the ends.  I also distressed the die cuts with gold ink.

Ingredients:
Hot off the Press Steampunk paper pack
Creative Memories paper and card stock
Bo Bunny Et Cetera Brads
Stampin Up Gems
Momenta Black Glitter Flourish stickers
Spellbinders Class Oval Small die
Tim Holtz Sizzix Bigz Gadget Gears die cut

Creative Memories Sticker letters
Brilliance Galaxy Gold ink
Colorbox Sepia Black
Misc gems, doily and gears

Good morning it's time for my next installment as guest designer for Lasting Memories Layout challenges.  I haven't been scrapping chronologically for a few years.  I belong to design teams and guest occassionaly like this month, when I do I just pic photos that fit the theme/sketch no matter where the subject.  I have completed enough of the Connecticut trip that I am finally organizing an album!  Unfortunately for my regular readers you will see a few more of my trip from 2020.  For me I have set a goal to have it finished, wish me luck!

The challenge this week is to "get wet", use inks or mixed media.  I used an assortment of shimmer and ink sprays to create the watery background. I also added sea glass as an embellishment.  Perfect for the river cruise photos.

I also added some brads and die cut clouds.

Let Your Soulshine layout for Lasting Memories

Welcome to my second installment as guest designer for Lasting Memories.  I am continuing to work on my trip to Connecticut. This was on the train trip.  It was actually nice traveling with everything half full, there was always plenty of room to hang with our friends.  This week's challenge at Lasting Memories is to use "Olympic Rings" or at least five circles or rings on your layout.  I found this series of photos lent itself well to the circle frames.

I found the sun dies already in my stash from a previous project.  I am not sure they were intended to go together and the top sun was white.  I inked it up with some distress ink and popped it on dots on top of the other sun.  A perfect circle embellishment for a circle layout.

I finished off the layout with a large title taken from a song by our favorite band.  We were in Connecticut to see some of them.

Ingredients:
DCWV Stardust Stack
Misc papers and card stock
Brutus Monroe Decorative Details
Robin's Nest Tear Drops
Creative Memories Circle cutting system
Creative Memories sticker letters
Lawn Fawn Out of this world Sun die
another sun die
Tim Holtz Fossilized Amber Distress ink
Colorbox Sepia Black cat's eye ink

Don't forget to play along with Lasting Memories until the end of the month.

Hot off the Press Steampunk Train Ride layout as August Lasting Memories Guest Designer

Hello and welcome to my post today as guest designer for Lasting Memories. I am so excited about all the fun challenges this month. The first challenge this month is LM #713 - The Games of the XXXIII (33rd) Olympiad - create two or more clusters of three+ embellishments on your layout.  I did all that on one page but continued the cluster them on page two as well.

Here is the sketch I used from the Creative Memories latest Virtual Crop.

A close up of the title and cluster #1  I stamped a train image from a very old Stampin Up set All Aboard.  I added some brads and button like embellishments.

I used some borders I had laying around. I am in the midst of organizing said borders.  It seems like border packs just get piled up in my craft room if they don't match a collection.  I decided to put them in sleeves in my scraprack under borders. I think I will be flipping through a lot once I get them all organized.  Then I added puffy stickers I procured at the Dollar Tree.

More Bo Bunny brads and Crafter's Square puffy stickers in this cluster.

I stamped and lightly colored another train image for the other page.  I have some miscellaneous ephemera on the pages too.

The last cluster utilizes an old stamp some ephemera and more brads and buttons.

Ingredients:
Hot off the Press Steampunk paper pack
7 Gypsies Camden Paper:  Greenwich
Basic Grey Heritage Elements stickers
Bo Bunny Et Cetera and Cambridge Icandy Brads
Not Just for Boys embellishments
Crafter's Square puffy stickers
My Mind's Eye Happy Days die cut borders
Creative Memories Black sticker letters
Stampin Up All Aboard train stamps
Momento Tuxedo Black ink
Copic marker BV23
Quick Quotes Powderpuff Kokomo ink
