Easy Cricut Cards

If you are a regular follower, you may have noticed most of this years card include a Cricut cut.  II made all of these cuts with a 72 hour free subscription to Cricut Access.  The certificates are included in the square box cartridges.  I have been collecting some new ones for $5-12 lately.

During that weekend, I made several easy two layer cards.  I was pretty pleased with the entire collection.  Only Mrs. Clause had some frayed cuts.  I believe it was the type of paper.

Another plus of the easy cards is no special postage!  I am a big fan of being able to use a regular stamp.

Santa gift bag

Good morning.  I decided I needed another tiny gift bag for a gift card.  I used A Quilted Christmas Cricut cartridge to create Santa.  He is two layers.  It is hard to determine since I used the same silver shimmer paper for the die cut panel behind him.

I have an entire pack of 12x12 size embossed holly card stock so what better way to use it up than create holiday gift bags?  This is the first time I have used it...way to plow through my stash.  I also found an almost perfect snippet of red ribbon.  There was only and inch or so left...so *gasp*  I threw it away!  I punched holes in the side of the bag and knotted the ends of the ribbon to hold it in place.

Ingredients:
Cricut A Quilted Christmas
Frantic Stamper Corner cut tag die

Joy Cricut card

And another Cricut card...I liked this one because it is shaped.  It is hard to tell but I used a fancy brushed white paper and pearl accent that gives this card a real elegant feel.

Winter Tree Stained glass card

Alicia here today playing with Tutti Designs Stained Glass dies.  It was fun to watch my vision slowly come to life as I pieced together the scene.  I used the die to cut several different papers.  The end result is stunning.

I layered the stained glass die on a couple of the same papers cut with Sue Wilson Designs Double Stitched Rectangle dies.  It is not as clear as I would like but the moon is a beautiful silver shimmer paper.  I also used a woodgrain paper for the tree with some copper metallic card stock for the branches where the moonlight shines.

Cricut Simple Pop Up card with Quick Quotes Happy Holidays

Good morning Quick Quotes readersAlicia with you today.  I continue to play along with this month's challenge:  Use a die cut..  I have used my electronic cutter to create a simple but elegant pop up card.  This beauty of this cut file is that is includes a written sentiment for which I used a metallic silver pen.  The cut file even included the perfect size envelope which I cut from the background paper for a perfect match!  It was so easy to assemble and I believe anyone would display it proudly.

I simply manipulated the score lines and adhered the two layers together.  To kick it up a notch I inked the edges with Bora Bora PowderPuff Chalking Ink and added some gems in the center of the snowflakes.

Warm coffee for you...

I whipped up this entry for the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop tonight.  I had the Cricut cut already prepared, it was a matter of selecting some matching papers and embellishments.  I found a lovely snowflake for behind the cup, but it needed a little pop, so I layered a die cut piece of red printed paper.  I punched more snowflakes and die cut the sentiment from the same paper on the cup.

I sprinkled some tiny sequins around the popped up cup for just a little texture.

Ingredients:
Cricut Holly & Ivy
Creative Memories Winter printed paper
Creative Memories snowflake punch
Tim Holtz/Sizzix Snowflake die
Brenda Walton label die
Spellbinders Phrase set two
American Craft Christmas paper

Oh Joy! Lawn Fawn & Stampin Up

Good morning!  I had a chance to make just a few more Xmas cards over the weekend.  I used the challenge over at Die Cuttin Divas for this CAS card.

I used January's sketch:

It's kind of hard to see in the pictures, but one of the trees was an experiment.  I wanted to create a rose gold embossing powder to match the Recollections washi tape.  I ended up preferring the glitter embossing powder of which the details are still not clear in the above pictures.

I did want to mention my experiment because it was a lot of fun and I will be more inclined to make my own colors in the future.

Ingredients:
Recollections washi tape
Ranger Gold glitter embossing powder
custom made embossing powder
gold pigment ink
Recollections Vintage Pink embossing powder
Versacolor Petal Pink ink
Lawn Fawn Christmas Winter Big Scripty word stamps and dies
Stampin Up Peaceful Pines stamps and dies

Frantic Stamper Comfort & Joy

Hello,  Alicia sharing a card of comfort and joy.  I layered several cuts of fresh winter papers with some inked edges and a touch of ribbon.  I thought alternating the two different layered shapes added to the crisp feel.

The details of this set are adorable, unfortunately, this Frantic Stamper set is no longer available but the store has a very similar set listed below it even has little marshmallows!  I also listed a similar Frantic Stamper set.
