Thanks Bunches with Freshly Made Sketches

Good morning dear readers.  I had a chance to play for a minute this weekend, between all my other commitments.  I wish I could have an entire weekend to lock myself in my studio.  I am not sure when that will happen again.  Life is just so busy. I took inspiration from a sketch and a few challenges I saw over on Paper Playful such an awesome resource!  Thank you to all the volunteers who compile the info.

So for this sketch I pulled some of my 6x6 paper pads and as I often like to do, created a feminine and masculine version of the sketch.  I saw several embossing challenges this week and decided on a couple of embossing folders as a twist.

I should have thought out my sentiment color a little better on the masculine version.  I inked the "thanks" but it still doesn't pop like I wanted.  IRL is looks fine though.

Here's the sketch from Freshly made sketches:

Ingredients:
Impression Obsession Everyday Top Edges (Thanks bunches)

purple papers from K & Co recycled paper pad

Quick Quotes Mocha Moma Powderpuff chalking ink

Sending Smiles: Big Bright Sunflowers

Good morning! Alicia here today with my first post for the Dies R Us Inspiration blog.  I am so excited be here! I created a sunflower card.  I used some of my favorite new dies.  First I started with the Impression Obsession Everyday Top Edgers Sending Smiles die.  I just love die cut sentiments!

I layered the flowers and sentiment on the Art C Dies Fancy Label die cut.

I created the flowers with  Sizzix Thinlits Sunflower.  There are several pieces in this set and some assembly is required.  There are multiple petals/pieces on one die that makes it much easier.  I added a bit of Stickles to finish off the flower!

Ingredients:
Impression Obsession Everyday Top Edgers
Art C Fancy Label
Sizzix Susan's Garden Sunflower
Graphic 45 French Country papers
Ranger Distress Stickles Brushed Cordoroy
We R Orange wash paper
green card stock
DCWV Old World Ribbon

Dies I used from Dies R Us:

We R Happy Campers with Sketch N Scrap card sketch

Time for the first card sketch of the month from Sketch N Scrap!  This one is a cute one that is so versatile!  Be sure and check out everyone's interpretation.  Here's my take:

I used a We R collection so everything matched perfectly.  I inked it up with some Mocha Moma Quick Quotes chalking ink.

Here's a close up of the embossing I did.  I wanted to make the owl sparkle a bit so I used Judikins Chocolate Twinkle and the branch is more textured using Rustic Weathervane.

Ingredients:
We R Memory Keepers Happy Campers collection
Luxe stamps
Versamark ink
Judikins Chocolate Twinkle and Rustic Weathervane embossing powders
Impression Obsession sentiment die
Our Daily Bread Designs pierced circle die
Spellbinders Sunny Days cloud dies
Quick Quotes Mocha Moma chalking ink
