Stampin Up Acorny Thank You with Sketch N Scrap sketch

Hello dear readers.  I have had this paper laying on my desk for a month or so.  I picked it up at my local creative reuse store.  I loved the bright colored fall themed paper with the added bonus of a super cool plaid on the reverse.  When I saw the sketch from Sketch N Scrap, I thought it was a great way to use both sides of this paper.

I found the brown scallop die cut circle in my stash.  I stamped the sentiment in pigment ink and clear embossed. The sentiment came from the Acorny Thank you set of which the acorns are also a part. There are parts of the acorns that are embossed and some are not.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up Acorny Thank You stamp set and Acorn builder punch (2020)
Spellbinders scallop circle
Colorbox Mix'd Media Truffle ink
Stampin Up Tip Top Taupe
American Craft pigment ink
Zing clear embossing powder
Distress embossing powder
washi tape
Quick Quotes Amaretto powder puff chalking ink
misc papers
Kraft card base

I put a Spell on You card for Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge

Welcome to my take on the latest Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I had a lot of fun with this one.  I used a thick glitter paper to die cut the sentiment.  It really pops.  It is hard to see but the background black paper is printed with a Halloween black on black design.  I layered that on a glitter mat and finally the black gloss card base.

Here is the sketch.  Obviously, I turned it and did not do a slimline version.

The Ink Road Stamps Full Moon sentiment stamp I used already has the "I put a spell on you" part that I die cut.  So I used masking paper to mask off that part of the sentiment and just use the "and now you're mine" part.  Here is the stamp and masking paper in my MISTI.  I stamped with black pigment ink and embossed in silver.

Here is a side view where you can see a bit of the dimension.

Ingredients:
glitter paper
Colorbox black ink
Silver embossing powder
black glossy card base
misc paper

Something to Crow About: Bitten by the Bug 2 Challenge

Welcome to my inspiration for the latest Bitten by the Bug 2's challenge Something to Crow About.  There's eleven layers to this project.  I cut them from various papers. The outer frame is a black shimmer paper.  The bottom (white moon) is white paper sprayed with shimmer paper.  The cloudy sky is a grey vellum.  The example in CDS was all black and white but I added a little color with the deep purple night sky.

I did mean to add a gem to the eye of the crow but forgot while finishing up.  I also left a stray piece of paper on the front of the crow.

The cuts were super easy to make.  The vellum did throw a little fit with the little scrolls in the corners.  I was able to salvage what I needed for the clouds.  I just snipped away the incomplete scroll cut areas of the vellum.

Ingredients:
Misc papers including shimmer and vellum from Bazzill, American Craft and the Paper Studio
Tattered Angels shimmer spray
black ink

Rock On layout for Sketches in Thyme

Hello, it's time for my monthly contribution to Sketches in Thyme.  I used some very recent photos of a friend from a trip to Dillon, Colorado. Dillon Lake is in the background.  Dillon is fairly close to Breckenridge.

Here is the sketch:

I found these beaded spirals at a thrift store.  Aren't they super cool?  They were old so I did have to add a glue dot to the back on top of the old adhesive.

I used a tie dye blue paper for the top corner representing sky/air and a dark green on the bottom corner representing earth.

Basically, I raided the embellishments on my desk, then went in search of some key elements like mushrooms.

Ingredients:
GCD papers
DCVW Tie Dye paper
K & Co 3D stickers
Cricut cut title
wood embellishments
Eyelet outlet brads
Queen and Co iris flowers
Sticko Beadorables Festive Swirls
misc die cuts, flowers, brads and such

Rabbit Hole Designs Caffeinated Unicorn cards

Welcome dear readers. I am working with some old stash.  I have had this stamp and die I won from The Rabbit Hole Designs for too long without utilizing it.  And, I have finally used it to create these simple but adorable cards.  I added interest by using embossing folders.

I am also using the Kindred Stamps Sentiment Strip Dies for the first time.  I love them! They are perfect for framing sentiments.

Card number two has a slightly different color palette. I used multiple colored pens on the hair, a different embossing folder and different sentiment.  Both sentiments are from the stamp set.

It's hard to see but I used a Wink of Stella pen on the horns.

 Ingredients:
The Rabbit Hole Designs Caffeinated Unicorn stamps and die
Tutti Stitched Nesting Ovals
Tim Holtz Sizzix Ink Splats and Dots embossing folders
Wink of Stella shimmer pens
alcohol markers

Ingredients:

Kindred Stamps Cursive Curses and Stencils (Warning Foul Language)

WARNING FOUL LANGUAGE
Now that's out of the way, these cards using Kindred Stamps Cursive Curses stamps are fabulously funny.  I have already sold some, some are in a store, Local Studio 325, and I am going to list some in my Etsy Shop.

First I stenciled some plain white cardstock with various stencils and Distress and Distress Oxide inks.

Then I did cut the stenciled background and stamped the sentiments with pigment ink.

I embossed the sentiments and inked the edges. I adhered the die cut on a coordinating card base.

Finally, I sprinkled enamel dots and bling.

Ingredients:
Spellbinders Labels Twenty-one
Judikin's Kite Stencil Regal Diamonds and other stencils
bling and enamel dots

Hello and welcome to October  I have been trying to use up scraps and bits on my desk.  I had this die cut this Cheery Lynn moon a while ago and I had this galaxy background in my backgrounds stack..  I did add an extra layer of gold shimmer spray to match the die cut moon particularly for this card. It's not as visible in the photo as in real life..

I die cut the galaxy background and layered on top of black glossy card stock after stamping and embossing the sentiment in gold.

Ingredients:
Cheery Lynn Designs Hippie Heroine moon die

Tattered Angels and other shimmer mists
