Sesame Street and In the Stars-Bitten By the Bug 2 Challenge

Happy Monday and welcome to the latest Bitten By the Bug 2's In the Stars challenge.  The challenge is to use at least three different size stars on your project AND use your Cricut machine.  I used Sesame Street images to make these great kid's cards.  I paired the primary colored images with some old Creative Memories Primary paper.

Elmo is a super fun character to cut.  He looks great with the fun papers.

I cut a Big Bird on a star too.  I layered both of these cuts on black card stock to make them really pop off the primary papers.

This yellow paper cut so beautifully, I can't remember what brand it is though...

Abby Cadabby Valentine's Card for Bitten By the Bug 2

It's time for another challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2: Valentine's~Anything Goes!  I created a Sesame Street card for my nephew.  I manually cut the mats, electronically cut Abby and inked all the edges.  I am not familiar with this character and didn't think about her colors until after I had created her so she may be a little different than she should be.  Also I was using up the papers in my scrap stash.

Cookie Monster Card for Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge Guest Designer

Hello Winter!  Well winter is technically not for a week or so, however, that is the challenge this time around at Send a Smile 4 Kids challenge where I am currently guest designer.  I love using my Sesame Street Cricut cartridge to make kid friendly cards.  The cuts are fairly intricate but are so spot on.  This may be the first time I have created a Cookie.

When I was a child my first alarm clock was a Cookie Monster clock with an oven and cookies. I loved to wake up!  For the background I used some very old Creative Memories printed paper.  I thought the colors were very winter~y.  I used a manual die cut circle to back the Cricut cut.  I love my Cricut but I will never stop using my manual die cuts.  I love the texture you can achieve with the manual process.  I always emboss after cutting if that is an option with the die.  I will then ink the edges to highlight the dimension.
