Stampin Up Honeycomb Hello for Senior Citizen Day

OH, HELLO

I created this card for Senior Citizen Day August 21. I was trying to create a card that was easily copied with limited supplies as I had a workshop to make as many cards as possible at my office.  I brought in a bunch of punches, paper, colored pencils, etc.  I also brought my Big Shot and several folks enjoyed learning how to use it.  I will be showing off more of what I made and the cards of my co workers and their children.  The goal is 100 cards for the residence of my Father-in-laws nursing home.  They have been delivered!

Another view.  I stamped kraft paper with the Hardwood stamp and brown ink to create the background. You can see how I popped up the sentiment after I stamped then punched.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up Honeycomb Happiness stamp
Stampin Up Hardwood stamp
Stampin Up Word Window punch
Stampin Up Chocolate Chip ink
misc card stock

Stampin Up and Cheery Lynn card for Atlantic Hearts sketch challenge

Welcome to my blog today.  I have a clean and simple card for you today using the latest Atlantic Hearts challenge sketch.  I went pretty CAS today, although if you follow me you know I can't resist my inky edges, otherwise CAS.  I used a very 3 dimensional flower as I plan on hand delivering this card.  I thought that transformed the otherwise simple card into an attention grabber.

Here's this week's sketch.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up Oh So Ombre 6x6 papers
Stampin Up Blossoming Basket stamp sentiment
Stampin Up Blackberry Bliss ink
Cheery Lynn Designs Mehndi Botanical Stem dies
Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalking ink Green with Envy and Brandywine

The War & Treaty Michael layout for Sketches in Thyme

Hello and welcome to this month's scrapbook sketch inspiration for Sketches in Thyme.  I have more photos from my Jamaican vacation.  These are photos of Michael from The War and Treaty.  I began with black card stock, added lots of manual die cuts and a little ink splatter.

Here is this week's sketch by Bev Code.

I spattered Tattered Angels Money Bags shimmer spray around before I mounted any of the photos or die cuts.

I fussy cut the shadow for the microphone die cut.

I used the Sizzix David Tutera Eucalyptus & Flourish Stamp and Die set to create my foliage clusters.  I cut from several fancy papers including vellum.

I inked all the edges prior to adhering to my base.

I cut the Amy Design Music Border die from metallic silver card stock.

Ingredients:
Amy Design Music Border die
Sizzix David Tutera Eucalyptus & Flourish Stamp and Die set
Stampin Up Shaded Spruce ink
Tattered Angels Money Bags shimmer spray
misc card stock including Bazzill Blue Topaz Gemstone and Recollections Blue Swirl
Stampin Up vellum die cuts

Tim Holtz Funky Foliage Thinking of You card for Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge

Hello today.  I am showing my latest inspiration for Atlantic Hearts challenge,  It's been quite a while since I really got to do some intricate paper piecing.  I had carpel tunnel surgery on my left hand in June and will be doing my right in November.  Therefore, my crafting has suffered.  I expect to be so much better after it's all over!  Anyway I locked myself in my craft room over the Labor Day weekend and really had a great time playing with this die set.

Here is the sketch.

Here is a side view of my cluster.  This die set has several layers to each image.  I used two different ivory papers, two different reds and three browns.

I stamped and embossed the sentiment on kraft card stock after die cutting into a pierced oval.  I finished the project with adhesive brown pearls.

Here is my project with some of the products I used to create it.  I purchased most of these items second hand.  Surprisingly, the two inks came from my favorite store Indigo Hippo.  You do have to be careful purchasing second hand inks.  I also purchased the stamp set there a couple of years ago. It's been a good one.

Ingredients:
Hero Arts Thinking of You clear stamps (over a year old)
Versacolor ink Bark
Judikins Chocolate Twinkle embossing powder
Versamagic chalk ink Sahara Sand
Tim Holtz Sizzix Funky Foliage
Tutti Designs Dotted Nesting Ovals
Queen & Co Bubbles Brown
misc papers and cardstock including Bazzill, kraft and pieces I treated with shimmer spray
