Cricut-Close to My Heart Artfully Sent #1 Dad card for Bitten By the Bug 2

It's time for a new challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2: For the Men in Our Lives.  I made a card with the Close to My Heart Artfully Sent cartridge.  I added gems for the headlights and plenty of inking for dimension.  It is a simple but effective card.  My dad is not a real car guy so I am not sure who will receive this one.

Ingredients:
Close to My Heart Artfully Sent
American Craft paper
Quick Quotes powderpuff chalking ink
gems

Beer is the Answer! Cricut Pop-up card for Bitten By the Bug 2

Good morning and welcome to the latest challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2, Father's Day.  I used the Cricut Everyday Pop-up cards cartridge with American Craft papers.  I also created some manual die cut layers using Frantic Stamper Stitched Rounded Rectangles and DRS designs "beer is the answer" sentiment stamp.

Once again, I could find NO instructions for my project.  I found it to be very close to a coffee pop up I have created. but for the most part I was winging it.

I layered a couple of die cut panels on the front of the card but haven't stamped a sentiment yet.

My second card uses the same papers and the Close to My Heart Artfully Sent cartridge.  I thought these American Craft papers worked great with the Father's Day theme.  They are so old, I purchased bulk packs from Tuesday Morning while the patterns are quite bold the solid sides are classic.  I use them often.

I inked all the edges with Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalking ink in Mocha Moma.

Quick Quotes Father's Day cards

Good morning! Alicia here today with some Father's Day inspiration.  I made these two cards for my father and father in law, I love the woodgrain paper so much I used it on both cards.

This first one I sent to my dad.  I started with the image, a water brush and an assortment of Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalking inks.  I used the same water brush to color all the image and the background.  I love how the water color effect made a really great sky and grass in one layer.  The tractor's red took a few layers of ink to get the color more vibrant.

I then layered my water colored image on a few die cut layers of papers from several different collections:  Adventure Awaits Paper Pack, 49 Shades of Grey, and Urban Oasis.  I stamped and die cut my sentiment.  I inked all the edges generously and added some finishing touches of fiber, button and metal embellishments.

My second card is for my father in law.  I think he will enjoy this one very much.  He always saves my cards.  On this image I used several blue hues of Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalking inks and a water brush to create just the "old" blue color I was looking for in this image.  I complimented the image with blue papers from various collections of Quick Quotes papers.

I stamped my sentiment, die cut some pieces and added some unique fiber.  I inked all the edges and adhered the pieces down to my card base. I touched some of the "metal" pieces of the truck with a metallic silver pen for some finer detail.

Quick Quotes Products used:

fiber and floss

masculine stamped images
Spellbinders label die
Our Daily Bread stitched star and pierced oval dies
Frantic Stamper stitched corner cut tag die

Quick Quotes Father's Day cards

Hi!  Alicia with you today for Quick Quotes and this week we are featuring a Father's Day theme.  I think that the Gypsy Road 300 with the old cars just screams Father's Day!  It was the first thing I thought of to tackle this assignment.  I just upgraded my Cricut to an Explore so I started searching Father's Day images on Cricut Design Space.  By the way, Quick Quotes papers cut like a dream on the card stock setting.

The first card features a cut from a cartridge I own, Artfully Sent.  It was very easy to cut and assemble.  I added pop dots to the hat/mustache/bow tie.  I also added some additional die cuts to dress it up a bit. And inked it all up with Midnight Confessions PowderPuff Chalking Ink.  I am sending this one to my dad.

I cut this image from Design Space because it had a retro feel and popped it up. I used a Tim Holtz edge die on the paper and again added some gear and car die cuts with some neat brads.  I will be giving this one to my Father in law.

This image seemed a bit more modern but with the addition of screw head brads and black "stud" ribbon, I think it turned out very neat looking.

Quick Quotes Products used:

Other products:

asst brads

Wednesday Winner! and Father's Day Cards

Wednesday Winner!!
I have been working late in my studio every night.  My son is on summer vacation and is visiting his dad and other relatives so I have more time on my hands than usual.  You will soon see what I have been creating!  I have been working on a wide variety of projects that I can't wait to share.  In the meantime, I am still having fun giving stuff away!  Here is the stamp I am giving away:

I also used this stamp for my own Father's Day Cards:

This card is for my dad. I used Graphic 45 A Proper Gentlemen and the fleur de leis is from another Graphic 45 collection.  I have had the Proper Gentlemen collection for over a year, I am pretty sure I used it for last years Father's Day cards, too.  I used some Kiwi Lane Design templates and the giveaway stamp embossed with black and then distressed with Tim Holtz Antique Linen.  The key is a die cut from Tim Holtz movers and shapers with black shimmer paper.  The stamp is on a white linen card stock die cut and embossed with Spellbinders.

This card is for my Father in law.
I fussy cut the watch and fleur de leis banner.

I made this card for an older man in my life that is not my father.  He called today and thanked me for the card.

The stamp is another individual Inkadinkado stamp.  I fussy cut several pieces.

And winner of the stamp is:
