Bubbles at Swim School! Stick it Down December sketch

I hope you all (y'all where I am from) think my nephew is adorable as I do, I love scrapping that adorable smile and he gets to do the most wonderful things!  These bubble photos are amazing!  In using up my stash I found some old Storytellers Club die cuts in my summer container.  I found some wacky alpha stickers that may have been from a STC kit as well.

Here is the sketch I used from Stick it Down

I found some chipboard bubbles that I thought would look great embossed with an iridescent sheen.

Creative Memories Be Merry layout with Sketch N Scrap sketch

I found these Creative Memories papers in my stash, they are not nearly as old as most of my CM stash.  They actually proved perfect for this play date layout from December when the decorations were already out.  I just love the assortment of trees on the piano.  Amazing pic!  (not mine)  If you are a regular reader you know I scrapped my nephew a bunch of pages for his album.  And...I have a few more prior to the end of the year.

I used this sketch from Sketch N Scrap for my layout.

Pool Time layout with The Scraproom Jumpstart Sketch

This has to be the most un-Christmas Christmas Day post EVER!  But not really, every year I scrap pages for my SIL of my nephew for her to add to the album I gave her.  So this is really an Xmas gift. I didn't get a whole year scrapped this time but you are gonna see a dozen or so layouts over the next few days.  My wonderful nephew is actually under the weather so sending healing vibes to him and I hope his Christmas is a good one.

Woodland Noel and Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Can you believe it is Christmas Eve?  May I share one last card?  I am using the latest Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge as a starting point for this one.  I feel I haven't been "inking" as much lately so although this card incorporates my "use up my stash" focus these days, I finally did some stamping.  The focal image and lower cluster are from the same sticker collection from my stash.

Here is the sketch this week.

I used some very old Stampin Up stamps that I purchased from my awesome little crafty thrift store down the street.  It is hard not to go crazy there!  I do try to restrain primarily reminding myself that I remove the stamps from the wood blocks.  It is too much time and energy to waste on images I would never use but I just knew these tiny pine cones and pine branches would be very useful.

I stamped the branch 4 or 5 times in Distress Peeled Paint.  I stamped the pinecones on the same kraft card stock as the base and fussy cut them.  I found a K & Co acetate embellishment that kind of matches the rest of the stickers, but if I recall correctly they were not the same brand.

Ingredients:
Creative Memories paper
Kraft card stock
embellished stickers from my stash
K & Co acetate embellishment
Stampin Up stamps
Distress Peeled Paint
Quick Quotes Mocha Mama Powderpuff chalking ink

First Day of School for Bitten By the Bug's Use a Number challenge

Good day readers, it's time for a new challenge at BBTB2.  The challenge is to Use a Number.  This one should be easy.  You still have Christmas (25), the New Year (2020), a birthday card or anniversary.  So many ideas for numbers.  Mine is a little off season but I always scrap pages for my SIL/nephew to add to an album I gifted them.  This year was his first year at preschool.  I found the cutest strip of numbers to use.  Then I added the "first day of school" image for a title.

Here is a close up of the Locker Talk First Day of School image.

These numbers are actually the negatives of the image with is numbers in a bubble type strip.  I inked the edges before adhering to the page.

Technically this is the first page.  I left the journal card for my SIL to complete. I cut the title with my Cricut Maker using the Cricut Sans font.

Ingredients:
Cricut carts:  Locker Talk, Cricut Sans font and Close to My Heart-Artbooking
Creative Memories Primary and High School Kits
misc card stock

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to play along for the next two weeks at BBTB2.

Merriest Wishes card set

I decided to sit down at my desk and create an easy batch of holiday cards.  I perused Pinterest Card Sketch board for some ideas.  I found some great sketches posted on Janice's blog, she has a post that includes all the Paper Player sketches in one place.  It was a great resource.  Of course, with such a quantity of cards, I was liberal with the interpretation. This first one is one that is a bit different.  I used some intricately cut glitter tape and layer some old stickers on paper circles.  Since I used patterned paper for the background, I stamped the sentiment on a piece of paper and used a decorative punch.

Here is the sketch I used for this batch.

For this card I used some small stickers on punched card stock.  They were so small I fit 5 instead of 3.  For the rest of the batch I used my MISTI to stamp the same sentiment over and over.  What a time savor for production.

Here I used only 3 stickers and another fancy punch. This was the fancy square punch from Creative Memories.

These stickers were square so I simply cut larger card stock squares to layer.  I switched up the color of the sentiment.

This one doesn't really follow the sketch but I used the MISTI and the same sentiment.  For all of these cards I used old Creative Memories stickers and paper.

Ingredients:
Creative Memories stickers and paper kits
Creative Memories and Stampin Up punches
Stampin Up sentiment from To You & Yours
misc sentiment stamp from my stash
Stampin Up Baroque Burgundy and Forest Foliage
Our Daily Bread Designs pierced circles
