Aftershow Glow layout for Sketches in Thyme

Good day and welcome to my blog.  Today I have a layout for Sketches in Thyme.  I love this photo and thought it would be perfect to highlight on a one photo sketch.  The first pic has a glare but there's clearer photos later in the post.  I also found this really cool paper from The Paper House and wanted to highlight as much as possible.  The foiling on the paper is very cool and I definitely played it up as much as possible.

Here's this week's sketch.

I also rummaged through my stash for some super cool embellishments.  I found the flowers in my orange embellishment stash box and a few in my purple box, however most of the embellishments come from my silver box also playing on the foil accents of the paper.

The sticker letters are from Creative Memories, so old!

Here's a close up of one cluster.

And another cluster.

This cluster includes a bingo chip, brads, ribbon slide, glitter flowers, silk flowers, felt flowers, gems and metal accents and fiber.

Ingredients:
The Paper House Rock On! paper
Creative Memories Silver Alpha Stickers
embellishments-The Paper Studio irisdescent rocks, Recollections metal studs, misc flowers, brads, fiber and bingo chips
misc card stock

Don't forget to join our challenges on the Sketches in Thyme's Facebook page until the end of the month.  We have a new sketch every week to play along with!

Paper House Rock Star layout for Lasting Memories

Hello and welcome to my blog today.  I am guest designing for Lasting Memories Layout challenges.  The theme this week is “Time Spent at Play is Never Wasted.”
Lasting Memories challenge #659:  There is a lot of play time built in to the preschool day, in fact, it’s probably the favorite part of the day for most kiddos! This week’s challenge is to create a layout about how you PLAY! Share about a hobby or any activity you enjoy in your spare time.

Those of you who follow my blog will already know my favorite hobby (besides crafting) is seeing live music.  This is my absolute favorite festival in Jamaica. Not only do I enjoy live music, my modus operandi is to wait for hours sometimes on the front row for the music to start and hang on after the music is over and the crew is packing up to get the set list.  I have illustrated all of those points in the layout below.

The large photo is not my own but that of a professional photographer.  I die cut an arrow to point out myself and my husband front and center.

I primarily used The Paper House Rockstar stickers as embellishments.  I thought the row of lights was perfect as a top border.

In this photo you can see where I layered iridescent vellum over the guitar on the printed paper.  I felt like it added an extra level of shiny to the layout.  I am definitely in my shiny happy place here.

Ingredients:
The Paper House designer paper and stickers
Spellbinders You are Here Arrows
cardstock and iridescent vellum

Water Goddess Card

This is another digital witch image I won from Lunagirls, I believe.  I thought she was just beautiful but not as traditionally witchy as the other cards I made.  I added a lot of elegant embellishments and beautiful papers to accentuate the image.  I love how it turned out.

Ingredients:
Lunagirl image
The Paper House 6x6 paper
fiber
Recollections dots
misc metal embellishments and brads
Craft Dee Bowz tool
