Echo Park Twas the Night Before Christmas for Sketches in Thyme

Welcome to my monthly inspiration for Sketches in Thyme. While I am as of today in bandages, I have been scrapping all month long pics of my neice and nephew.  I had this photo from last year's stack of prints.  It was so perfect I had to scrap it and since last year I have acquired some bits and pieces of this Echo Park Twas the Night Before Christmas scrapbook collection.

Here's the sketch from Sketches in Thyme Facebook page.

I purchased a few papers and several embellishment packs from Indigo Hippo, my favorite creative reuse store.

Ingredients:
Echo Park Twas the Night Before Christmas collection
Colorbox Cat's Eye ink for edges

Creative Memories Cheerful Birthday layout with Sketch N Scrap

If you are a regular reader, you know the drill, I am scrapping my niece and nephew.  These are the most recent photos. This was my nephew's birthday part last month.  The had a game truck. I had never heard of such a thing!  Looks like it was a fun time.

Here's sketch number two this month from Sketch n Scrap.  I thought it has a lot of different shaped elements with which to play.

It's so easy to put together a great layout with a great sketch and a great kit.

Here is a sentiment sticker from the Cheerful Birthday Addition, the round stickers are also from the addition.  The sparkle enamel dots are from the Cheerful Power Palette.  I am a little disappointed the adhesive had failed, they are old, but CM was such a reliable manufacturer and this was before all the upheaval.  Anyway, I added my own glue dots to the back.

Ingredients:
Creative Memories Cheerful Birthday addition plus Cheerful Power Palette collection
Creative Memories sticker number
Creative Memories enamel dots

Kindred Stamps Galactic Desert Sexy Goddess card

Happy Anniversary to my husband, it's been 10 years.  I paid homage to the traditional tenth anniversary gift, tin.  I used the Tim Holtz Foundry embossing folder on some metallic card stock. I think any man of a certain age finds this image of the galactic princess from the epic sci fi story to be a turn on, I paired it with a sentiment that reflected such.

Another view.  It was hard to not get a pink reflection from my phone on the metallic dry embossed piece.  I used embossing powder and heat embossing on the sentiment.

I layered all the pieces in a silver mat.  The printed paper is from the Kindred Stamps Galactic paper stack. I mounted my colored image on pop dots.

It's too late to play along, however, I want to give credit to the card sketch I used from Sketch N Scrap.

Ingredients:
Kindred Stamps Galactic Desert and Sexy Space stamps
Kindred Stamps Galactic 6x6 paper
We R Comstock collection paper: Ginger
Colorbox Cranberry pigment ink
Stampin Up Burgundy embossing powder
Kat Scrappiness Stitched Sentiment Strips die
Tim Holtz Sizzix 3D Foundry embossing folder
misc card stock including metallic

Creative Memories Delight Power Palette with The Scraproom Sketch

I am all about using sketches and scrapbook collections to get it done quickly.  This is helping me breeze through scrapping by sweet neice (and nephew).  I have reached way back in my stash to these old Creative Memories collections.  These were really great products that have truly stood the test of time.  Adding some shimmer spray and a sketch brings this product into this decade. When I saw these photos this paper collection immediately came to mind.

Here is the The Scraproom blog sketch I used.

My first steps to create this were to tear the pink paper and splatter and spray with shimmer mist.  I let that dry over night but before I retired for the night I cut the triangles from scraps and mats. I also circle cut my photo. The next morning I came back and inked all the edges and adhered together.

Ingredients:
Creative Memories Delight Power Palette paper, stickers and paper flowers
Creative Memories Custom Cutting System Circles
Blue shimmer spray

Creative Memories Primary Power Palette Back to School layout

Welcome to my blog today. I am continuing to scrap my nephew.  These are his first day back to school pics.  Can he be any cuter?

Here is the sketch I used from this layout.  It's the Throwback sketch from The Scraproom Facebook Group.

Here's a close up.  I used Spellbinders nesting dies one larger and one the next size down to create the brace out of scraps.

I had the perfect title as part of the Elementary school addition to the Primary Power Palette.

One of the criteria for the sketch challenge is to use product at least a year old.  Well, I found this product to date back to 2008.  Way to bash my old stash!

Ingredients:
Creative Memories Primary Power Palette
Creative Memories stickers
Creative Memories circle cutting system
fiber
Spellbinders Label One Grand dies

Creative Memories Primary Travel kit with the Scraproom Blog's Freaky Fast Formula

Hello and welcome to today's blog post.  I am scrapping my nephew from a summer trip. I began with a formula from The Scraproom Blog I chose some papers that would enhance the photos. I had the Creative Memories Primary Power Palette on my desk and found just a few sheets left from the travel addition.

Here is my inspiration from The Scraproom Blog

I cut all of my pieces from scraps that coordinated with the background paper I chose. I then consulted my ink swatches and found the perfect green to ink up the wood die cuts.  The most difficult part was finding cooridinating letters to finish his name.

I die cut and added some additional circles to continue the bubbles theme. I also cut bubbles from the patterened paper.  I matted most of the die cut or punched bubbles in white to coordinate with the bubbles on the paper.

Ingredients:
Creative Memories Primary Power Palette Travel Addition papers
Spellbinders Circle dies:  Grand, Large and Small
Circle punch
The Paper Studio Diecuts:  Letter D, wood die cut and arrows
American Craft pigment ink in green
Conversation Dots Alpha stickers
white card stock

Creative Memories Winter Coffee Drink Card

Welcome today!  I whipped together this card from a couple of different challenge blog inspirations.  It's been a rare moment that I have had to create for specific challenges.  I am apprecitive I had the time.

First up, the sketch from Try Stampin on Tuesday. It is past the deadline for this challenge, however, I don't know this card would have qualified since I didn't stamp.  I did think this sketch was pretty unique with it's curves.

Here's another look.  You can see where I popped the frappe up on pop dots as to jump out of the frame.

Here is my color inspiration from Cupcake Inspirations.  When I saw this I knew imediately I had to dig out my Creative Memories Bountiful papers.  I found a few scraps at a local creative reuse store recently and have been meaning to marry those scraps to my fall paper container where I keep my own scraps of this paper pack and the coordinating stickers.  The scraps I found had several sticker sheet of which I was out. I was very pleased with that haul from Scrap it Up.

Ingredients:
Creative Memories Bountiful 8x8 paper
Creative Memories circle cutter
Divinity Designs Double Stitched Rectangles
Cricut cut Frappe #M3CA85
misc card stock and papers
Colorbox Cat's Eye ink Chestnut Roan
