Starburst Card with My Mind's Eye and Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

It's time for a new sketch over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge.  This sketch made me recall the Starburst technique.  I decided to go with it but I needed a refresher on the measurements, if you need that here is the video I used.  I had so many pretty 6x6 paper packs in which to use this technique.

Here is the sketch:

I cut the heart using a Tim Holtz die then embossed it with a folder.

Here is another version with a different paper pack.  The background paper was already embossed.

My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing Lavender

Cricut Easy Press 2-Use Something New Cricut Challenge

It's time for another challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2: Use Something New.  I used my new Easy Press 2 that my husband purchased for me for Xmas.  It was one of the best gifts he has ever given me!  Of course, I was working with an iron prior.  This machine is so excellent, making my projects with perfection now!

I purchased a couple of athletic tees for my son months ago when Joann's had a great sale. His favorite teams are FCC and the Cincinnati Reds. So I purchased those team colors and the appropriate iron on vinyl colors for his teams.  I tried to make something for him months ago but he was disinterested in picking out images.  Well just a few weeks ago both teams signed new players.  Remarkably both Japanese players.  So we completed these projects together.  For the first one, we picked an image of the player and I showed him how to convert it to an svg.  We researched and downloaded some sports fonts from dafont.com that he liked and added the name where he wanted it.

It's difficult to get pics of tees, so there are a few images.

For the second tee, he downloaded the Cricut app and found an image and created this one himself.  We found another sports font on dafont.com for this tee.  I downloaded the fonts on my computer and we finished the project.  I also showed him how to weed the vinyl and he weeded this one.

Here's another view.  I was very pleased with our mother son project.  It was nice to spend quality time with him since he is away at college.

I like the way you roll...Atlantic Hearts sketch inspiration

Good morning!  It's time again for new sketch inspiration over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I had sushi twice in the past week and it reminded me that I have never ever used my sushi stamps!  I loved them and wanted them so bad...I no longer shop that way instead I am focusing on using up my stash.  I also used the floral washi tape for the first time.

Here's the sketch:

I hope you enjoy seeing me use my stash as opposed to the latest and greatest.  I also pulled out my alcohol markers on which I have invested a lot of money.  More power to spending less and using more!

Cricut Disney Classic: I'm Late! Clock challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2

Hello and welcome to the first Bitten By the Bug 2 challenge of 2020!  The challenge is to use a clock or part of a clock.  I chose to use an image from one of my favorite cartridges Disney Classics.  Alice in Wonderland is my favorite classic.  I have made most of the images but this it my first white rabbit.

After creating the cut with my Cricut Maker, I stamped a clock image randomly on white card stock for the back ground.  I also stamped the sentiment after positioning the rabbit.  My MISTI makes the stamping job so easy.  I hate to admit.  I have never used these particular stamps and I have had them for several years.  Yeah for me using old stuff though!

Ingredients:
Disney Classics Cricut cartridge
Artistic Outpost Alice stamps
Stampin Up Real Red ink
Ancient Page Black ink
various card stocks and papers
