Welcome to my blog, I have scrapped my nephew and niece today. The photo is not mine, it was a professional shoot. However, I loved creating a beautiful layout to enhance it. Using this week's sketch from Sketches in Thyme and beginning with a simple black background piece of card stock, I enhanced with inks, pearls, paper elements and fiber. I splattered white pearlescent paint on one corner of the black card stock. I used a white gel pen to frame the other corner. I added my photo matting it on a couple of printed papers.
Here's the sketch for this week:
I used Creative Memories Black & White Power Palette elements: circle frames, paper flowers, sentiment sticker and paper ribbon. I used the sticker ribbon from another power palette, I think Enchanted, to create the border under the photo. I added the flowers to the center of the circle frames.
For the bottom banner, I started with embroidery floss gluing it in strategic places. I used the Stampin Up banner punch and Creative Memories Black & White Power Palette scraps to create the flags. I finished them off with pearls in the center.

Good morning and welcome to my blog today. I am showing off my latest cards for Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge. I used some of my Kindred Stamps stash. I had stamped these little guys a while ago but didn't have occasion to color them until I needed a birthday card recently. First time using this stamp set.
Here is this week's sketch.
I free handed the wording on the host's hat. I added Diamond Glaze to the co-host eye glasses. I popped both the guys up with dots.
I stamped and die cut the sentiment. I used a metallic silver pen to create the off center frames.

"Happiness Can Be Found in the Darkest Times" Gina Marie stamps with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge
Good morning and welcome to my blog today. I am showing off my latest cards for Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge. I used some of my favorite papers and new stamp and die sets. I acquired the Gina Marie stamp set back in the fall but have yet to use it. I got the Tim Holtz Funky Foliage die set more recently, it had been on my wish list for a long time.
Here is the sketch for this week.
I used the reverse of the the lavender paper banner for the sentiment. It was the perfect compliment! I had a lot of fun experimenting with the funky foliage dies and various papers.
