The adventure's first...Sketch N Scrap card sketch

I have been busy in my craft room on this holiday weekend.  I created at least 3 cards and 2 layouts yesterday.  This is one of those cards.  I am playing along with Sketch N Scrap's Birthday Bash Bingo as well as their regular card sketch challenge.

I used this sketch from Sketch N Scrap.

I really wanted to play with these Cosmo Cricket papers again and thought this adventure quote paired well with the outdoorsy papers.

Ingredients:
Technique Junkies Alice in Wonderland Quotations
Cosmo Cricket S'more Love 8x8 papers
Generic label one bracket pierced die
Joycraft mushroom edge die
Distress ink Peeled Paint

Technique Junkies The Creaking of Trees and Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Good morning!  Today I have a card I created using the latest Atlantic Hearts challenge sketch and Technique Junkies monthly challenge.

Here's the sketch:

No automatic alt text available.

My cluster:

I used the May/June challenge at Technique Junkies to create the bottom layer.  Unfortunately their challenge ended a couple of days ago.  The challenge was to "shape" your stencil.  I used a simple rectangle since my bottom panel needed to be that shape.

Ingredients:
Technique Junkies Creaking Trees stamp
Recollections stencil
Distress ink Walnut Stain
kraft, brown and ivory card stock
Our Daily Bread Designs stitched circle and rectangle die
metal embellishment
Prima wood button
raffia
pebbles dots
leaf punch

Tie Dye Technique with Technique Junkies

I have one final entry for the Technique Junkies Tie Dye technique challenge.  I used the same background as the first but this time I added spritz of Distress Blueprint Sketch ink.  I colored this image with alcohol pens while the first one was colored with Distress ink and a sponge.  That was my first attempt but my OCD forbids it, coloring in the lines is more my style so thereafter I used alcohol markers.

Ingredients:

Distress inks:  Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, and Blueprint Sketch

Colorbox Mix'd Media black ink

Judikins clear and black detail embossing powders

glitter paper

Alchohol markers including Copic and Prima

Tim Holtz Sizzix die

  ribbon, flower and sequins

I didn't break the rules...Technique Junkies challenge

I purchased this stamp at Stampaway last year.  I have to admit, I haven't even used it and then I saw this month's challenge at Technique Junkies.  I thought this looked like a great technique to try.  I had a lot of fun and made several backgrounds.  Here is the first.

I have worked for Judikins at Stampaway for several years now. Customers flock to Judi's booth to purchase both Black and Clear detail embossing powder.  Northwood Stamps tells their customers for coloring images the best results come from using a mix of both Black and Clear detail embossing powder.  I found my extra container of clear low so I poured in some black.  This is my first time using the mixture and I am really pleased.  I took pics of both embossing results and I will post next time.

Ingredients:
Distress inks:  Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, and Blueprint Sketch
Colorbox Mix'd Media black ink
Judikins clear and black detail embossing powders
glitter paper
Alchohol markers including Copic and Prima
Stitched rectangle die
fiber, sequins
