Bee Sweet card for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

 Welcome to my blog today.  I have a sweet bee card today.  I have been wanted to do something with a bee theme lately and this sketch was the perfect opportunity.  I used lots of die cuts and a little stamping.

Classic Rock! Atlantic Hearts Challenge sketch

Good day, it's that time again to give some inspiration for this Atlantic Hearts challenge sketch.  I had this sentiment picked out to use and found all these great elements to go along.  I used stamps, papers and dies from a lot of different companies.

Smiles are contagious card

I had a minute to squeeze in a challenge last night. I scored a ream of this mustard textured card stock at the thrift store.  Regular readers will be seeing more of this card stock.

Here is the sketch I used:

I added some sequins I purchased from overseas.  I am not sure you can see the stripes on the tiny sequins but they are really different.  I also took a cue from the strip with triangles and cut a couple of corners (pun intended) to place on the sentiment strip.

So Thankful for You card: Quick Quotes with Want 2 Scrap

Good morning Quick Quotes readers, this is Alicia sharing today.  I am so Thankful for you and always appreciate your stopping by to see the design teams' inspirations.  This month we are teaming up with Want 2 Scrap and I have used their Gunmetal pearls-250 count to create a border along the side of my card.  I also played with this month's Quick Quotes' challenge: Tear it Up!  I used a shaped tearing tool to create a couple of layers that I inked up with Midnight Confessions PowderPuff Chalking Ink for a super sweet but distressed look.

Here's a hint to create an evenly spaced border:

• I tied the twine first so I would know the amount of space with which to work
• I lined up the larger pearls with the grid all the way down the left side
• I went back and placed the smaller pearls in between for perfect spacing

I love how I can use three different Quick Quotes paper collections to create a card that matches so perfectly.  It shows the versatility of the collections and the creative thoughts of the designers to be able to blend them together so well.

Girls Just want to have fun! DCWV Stampaholic card sketch

I ended up having a minute to play with the DCWV Stackaholic card sketch challenge.

I tried to add enough sparkle.  The front piece is solid glitter paper from the Cardstock stack.  I used a glittery embossed patterned paper from Taj Mahal and the coordinating print in between is also from that stack.  I used gold embellishments to bring out those glittery circles.

Happy Anniversary You Rock Jukebox Card

Today is my wedding anniversary.  Here is the card I made my hubby!  I think he will like it.  I did get a little Pinspiration.

I didn't do a very good job but I wrote the name of a band he sings with on the record label.  I think he will find it neat. (I hope) I bought this die with him in mind quite a while ago.

Haunted Halloween Tuesday Morning Sketch

My entire family just loved this card!  It actually scared my son!  He thought it was a picture of his grandmother until he looked from another angle...he kind of jumped!  Ha Ha!  I just love the colors and thought it came together beautifully. (except the "e" which I have since adjusted).

Both angles of the sticker.  Pretty eerie for a sticker.  I bought several sheets last year after Halloween becasuse I thought they were cool.

Happy Birthday to my Mother!

Today is my Mother's birthday, so I created her a very special card.

 

 

I used a Graphic 45 Spritz Screen with Versamagic chalks in Spanish Olive, Aegean Blue, and Sahara Sand on ivory shimmer paper.  I stamped an Inkadinkadoo sentiment from the All you need is Love set with embossing ink and Stampin Up Forest Green embossing powder on Creative Memories paper and cut it and embossed it with Spellbinders Petite Scallop Circle Large.  I added some lace and pins from Hobby Lobby.  The ceramic flower is Recollections.  I matted this on TPC Peach Shimmer and cut all corners with a Creative Memories fancy corner rounder. 

 

 

Inside of the card is no simple sentiment but a vellum envelope full of birthday wishes!  I stamped these with Stampin Up That's the ticket and used the SU ticket punch to punch them out.  I used the same Versamagic chalks as on the screen.

 

The paper square with the mom on it is from K & Co.  I cut some strips of hem tape from Joann's.
