Congratulations! with Frantic Stamper

Good morning readers, Alicia here today with a graduation card. This one is a very special personalized card and isn't that the beauty of handmade cards? My eldest niece is graduating and she is like my own. I wanted to use her school colors and something a little extra.

The extra is...I used an actual photo of her dress as the skirt of the dress on the card! As soon as I purchased the Frantic Stamper Pleated Dress die I started to envision this card. This was the second card I made with this die so I had a little more experience. I still cut the piece twice and adhere together with very strong red lined tape. But this time I folded the pleats toward the center to create a more formal look.

I printed two 5x7's of Hana with her dress all spread out and cut from the same spot to provide uniformity.

I added another fancy cut with the same blue glitter paper as the top of the dress. I also embellished with plenty of pearl including a faux pearl necklace like my niece always wears.

To dress this card up even more, pun intended...I ran a piece of vellum through Spellbinders M-Bossabilities Simplicity embossing folder. I layered that on top of a shimmer card stock with blue Congratulations randomly stamped image. I hope you are inspired to try die cutting a photo for a personalized project. I believe she will probably have this card longer than the actual dress!

Good Day my dear readers!  I have a card using the latest Atlantic Heart Challenge sketch. I used some masking to create my layers of stamped flowers. This was my first time playing with this layered stamp set.  It was very fun.  I wish there was a stem stamp.  I drew them in with a green pen.

By the Sea Nautical layout

Here is one of the last pages of my honeymoon album.  Here's the sketch:

I was really excited with how I knotted the twine like the knots on the paper.  I used several tiny glue dots strategically to keep the knots in place.

I found the title in my stash.  I believe it is from a die cut swap but I could not find this cut in Cricut Design Space.  It could be from a specialty cart I don't own or a cut from another company.  I did remove the shadow layer as it was a blue that clashed with my layout.  Otherwise, the twine was just a perfect match for my knotted twine above.

Ingredients:
DCWV Hey Sailor stack
twine
Jolee's 3-D embellishments
misc embellishments
Creative Memories sticker
Quick Quotes Navy chalking ink

Arrow layout with Creative Memories Peacock

Yes, another boring layout...well, it's not too boring or else I wouldn't be covering up the pics would I?  LOL!  Actually, I thought it might be a tad offensive.  On the other hand, it's not really not that bad.  This was talent show night at Sandals and the pics are of a pretty big  (and pretty drunk) man taking off his shirt and shorts.  He is not naked but his body isn't anything great and I don't even know who he is so I felt it better to cover him up.

Ingredients:
Creative Memories Peacock Power Palette
Creative Memories Blueberry sticker letters
Quick Quotes blue chalking ink
Kiwi Lane templates

Quick Quotes Ombre Celebrate Cards

Alicia here today with a couple of ombre cards using Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalking inks. It is a super easy technique and always creates a beautiful image.   I made a couple of backgrounds and ended up using them both.  For this first card, I used die cut layers accented with an oversize ribbon and sequins.  The sentiment is stamped with Jade Powderpuff Chalking ink, die cut and popped up with foam dots.  All the edges are generously inked with Powderpuff Chalking inks.

My second card uses one of the negative die cuts from the first card as a frame.  I used the full ombre background then I die cut the same sentiment in several different papers to continue the ombre effect.  I also punched some papers for decorative  edges with added pearls.  I inked all the edges with Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalking inks.

Here is the stamp and the four colors of Powderpuff Chalking ink that I used to create the ombre background.

other products used:
Judikins marbled paper background stamp

Where's My Mule?

So while I was checking out animal images that I own in Cricut Design Space I found this mule (donkey in Noah's ABC cart).  My favorite band is Govt Mule.  I know I will end up making more of these in various sizes and maybe on a card.

I added details with a black pen.

Here is the sketch I used:

Ingredients:
DCWV Hey Sailor Stack
Creative Memories stickers

metal embellishment

I entered this page in a Sketch N Scrap Birthday Bash on Facebook challenge #3 until 6/2x

I would also like to play along with Scrap Our Stash May tic tac toe stash challenge until 5/30x

I used 3+ patterned papers, clouds (in my pics) and a tab.  I didn't take a close up of the tab, but I created it with a sticker on the top right photo.

You & Me Scrapbook Layout

This is the actual page that will be the last one of the album.  I believe this picture was taken with my husband's phone and got printed after the rest so it is not in chronological order but works great for the last page.

Here's the sketch:

I layered an overlay on top of the Autumn Leaves paper.  Then layered papers, stickers, flowers and bling.

When I saw the clock in the sketch I remembered this piece I purchased from Joann's Black Friday sale last year.  I was very excited to use it here.  That element led me I added more vintage metal pieces from Martha Stewart.

Ingredients:
Momenta Overlay
Autumn Leaves Black, Red and Cream collection
Finnabar clock piece
Martha Stewart metallic embellishments
Creative Memories black shimmer paper and sticker title
White gel pen
Recollections lace stickers
Mark Richards black flowers
doily
rhinestone gem flourish

Graphic 45 On the Boardwalk with Tuesday Morning Sketches

Good morning!  Today I am showing off a set of cards I made using this week's sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I had a reason for making so many.  I am participating in a patterned paper card swap.  I thought this was a great sketch on which to use several patterned papers. I choose to use up some old Graphic 45, I thought who really cares that is it an old collection.  It is summery and let's face it ALL Graphic 45 paper is good!

Here's the sketch:

http://tuesdaymorningsketches.blogspot.co.uk/2017/05/tuesday-morning-sketches-403.html

Here's each card that I tweaked ever so slightly different.

On some I used these teeniest tiniest sequins I purchase online from overseas.

On some I used a small turquoise sequin.  I also alternated between the sketch and having them line up.

Ingredients:
Graphic 45 On the Boardwalk collection with tags
brads and sequins
goldenrod textured card stock
various die cuts including Stampin Up banners and ODBD stitched ovals
pierced circle die

Blog~aversary Candy!

Five years ago today I created my first blog post.  I had no idea what I was doing.  I needed a blog for an event in which I was participating.  I did not know how it would change my life. I spend hours not just crafting but taking photos and writing post.  I have been privileged to serve on many different design team where I have grown and honed my craft.  Just this week I also posted my 1000th post!  I know crafty blogs are a microcosm of their own, but I am so glad to be a part.

So I have some items I have collected over the years that I gathered together to giveaway.  I also plan to include some other small goodies (backgrounds, stickers, embellies).  The Kiwi Lane templates are a duplicate from when I was on the design team.  The distress ink was also a duplicate of which I have the full size, so even though open it has never been used.

To win this package of goodies:

leave a comment below telling me how you follow
be a follower of my facebook page
leave a comment over there
it would be great if you followed on instagram but not required for the candy

I will use random.org the first week of June to pick a winner
