Aftershow Glow layout for Sketches in Thyme

Good day and welcome to my blog.  Today I have a layout for Sketches in Thyme.  I love this photo and thought it would be perfect to highlight on a one photo sketch.  The first pic has a glare but there's clearer photos later in the post.  I also found this really cool paper from The Paper House and wanted to highlight as much as possible.  The foiling on the paper is very cool and I definitely played it up as much as possible.

Here's this week's sketch.

I also rummaged through my stash for some super cool embellishments.  I found the flowers in my orange embellishment stash box and a few in my purple box, however most of the embellishments come from my silver box also playing on the foil accents of the paper.

The sticker letters are from Creative Memories, so old!

Here's a close up of one cluster.

And another cluster.

This cluster includes a bingo chip, brads, ribbon slide, glitter flowers, silk flowers, felt flowers, gems and metal accents and fiber.

Crafter's Companion Everyday Scenes with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Welcome to my blog and my latest inspiration for Atlantic Hearts Challenge.  This sketch so inspired me that I created an entire set of cards utilizing it.  I made this card set as thank you notes for an expectant mother.

Here is the sketch this week:

This was an all day crafting session but so much fun made with so much hope and blessing for the baby.  She ended up coming a bit early but all is well.

The details on these clouds are amazing.  I purchased these on a Facebook resale site, what a great find.

Here's all the pink versions.

The Crafter's Companion Everyday paper pad has so many sweet papers.  It was so easy to create all these wonderful cards!

I kept having to change the papers up because there were only a couple of each design.  I love all the different combos.

I tried to be open to using all the colors.  I wanted to use all the rainbow papers in the stack for this set.

Paper House Rock Star layout for Lasting Memories

Hello and welcome to my blog today.  I am guest designing for Lasting Memories Layout challenges.  The theme this week is “Time Spent at Play is Never Wasted.”
Lasting Memories challenge #659:  There is a lot of play time built in to the preschool day, in fact, it’s probably the favorite part of the day for most kiddos! This week’s challenge is to create a layout about how you PLAY! Share about a hobby or any activity you enjoy in your spare time.

Those of you who follow my blog will already know my favorite hobby (besides crafting) is seeing live music.  This is my absolute favorite festival in Jamaica. Not only do I enjoy live music, my modus operandi is to wait for hours sometimes on the front row for the music to start and hang on after the music is over and the crew is packing up to get the set list.  I have illustrated all of those points in the layout below.

The large photo is not my own but that of a professional photographer.  I die cut an arrow to point out myself and my husband front and center.

I primarily used The Paper House Rockstar stickers as embellishments.  I thought the row of lights was perfect as a top border.

In this photo you can see where I layered iridescent vellum over the guitar on the printed paper.  I felt like it added an extra level of shiny to the layout.  I am definitely in my shiny happy place here.

Stampin Up Snowflake Wishes cards

It's time for Christmas in July!  I used a lot of Stampin Up on this project. It turned out to be a pretty card without any designer paper!  I used lots of techniques including heat embossing, an embossing folder, die cutting and layering embellishments.

Stampin Up Snowflake Wishes stamps, dies, ribbons, gems and papers
Stampin Up Merry Moose stamp sentiment
Stampin Up inks: Blue Brilliant Craft, Misty Moonlight, Pool Party and Not Quite Navy
Stampin Up Winter Snow embossing folder
Judikins Galaxy embossing powder
