Cricut You're a Peach card and necklace

Hello and welcome today.  I have used a Cricut cut today.  It's been a while, I used to use it regularly when I had the Bitten by the Bug blog. I think I had to cease that blog in 2021ish. I also used an embossing folder and manual die cutting to create this peachy card!

A close up of my Cricut cut. I distressed the basket weave with ink to highlight the texture.

I sent this to my friend with an Allman Brothers necklace I made using Craft Fantastic products and an image I absconded from the net.

Ingredients:
Cricut Access peach image with sentiment
Our Daily Bread Designs pierced circle die
Lifestyle Crafts Basket weave embossing folder
misc paper including Creative Memories

Barks Marvin Masculine Dog card: Grrrrrrrrrr

Hello all!  I have been playing with this new to me stamp set. I purchased it recently at a creative reuse store, Scrap it up. The stamp set from Stampers Anonymous is called Barks Marvin the Crime Solving Dog. I was ecstatic to score such a great set of just a few dollars.  I pulled out some premade backgrounds and started stamping away with this new set.  I created several cards. This was my husband's favorite.

Since it was my husband's favorite, I figured it was the most masculine of the bunch, but they are are truly masculine cards.

My husband did note this image isn't as clear as some of the others which were stamped and embossed with pretty much the same ingredients.  I believe it is the kraft paper. These images were also pretty large.  I put this on a 5x7" card.

Ingredients:
Stampers Anonymous Barks Marvin: The Crime Solving Dog stamps
A muse French Roast ink
Woven Tapestry embossing powder
Tim Holtz Sizzix Harlequin embossing folder
Distress inks a green and a blue on tag
kraft tag
velvet brad
misc card stock and papers including Bazzill

Crafter's Companion Vintage Vegas 102nd Birthday card

Welcome today. As you may notice these photos were not taken in my studio. I sometimes call my son "last minute logan"....wonder where he gets it?  I finished this one on the way out the door to the party. Quite a special one! 102!! I used some new products from Crafter's Companion. As I was making this, I decided I need more of this collection.  I have only the embossing folder and this die set.  I need the other die set and sentiment set.

Here's the birthday boy with his card.

UPDATE:  Vernon Hill passed away the day after his 102nd birthday.  I think he chose to leave us that day...he had a full and wonderful life and was healthy up to the end.  I don't see how one could ask for more.

Stampin Up Whiskey Business Father's Day cards

Greetings.  I am posting some recent cards I created for the holiday. I have had this set for a while and this year I was determined to make Father's Day cards with it.  I got my motivation when I recently participated in Justine Hovey's Fearless Card Making challenge.  Although using premade pieces was not an actual part of the challenge I was inspired to do so by the challenge.  Essentially, Justine gave us "deep thoughts on card making".  One of the these questions to think about was what is holding you up?  And I have piles of ideas/half made cards that have stalled because of my indecisiveness.  I was motivated to grab some pieces, stamp and die cut more to create these cards.

The first card began with the idea of using the Whiskey Business set and the embossed and inked wood grain background.  It ripped on the edge and I just added it to my embossed background pile.  Every time I picked it up, I was like ugh...I can't use this.  However, this go round I was inspired to die cut the piece and get rid of the ripped area.  I experimented with Distress inking on this panel.  I wasn't that happy with it but I was encouraged by the challenge to push on through and make a card.

The inside of the card is where I stamped the Father's Day sentiment.

Here is a second card I made with same stamp set.  I colored the pieces the same but here I used a different sentiment.  I sent this one to my friend's father who turned 101 this month.  this one began with the premade card base.  I went with one layer die cut panel.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up Whiskey Business stamps and dies
Copic Markers:  B00, Y32, YR18, E35
Spectrum Noir: Bright Orange
Prismacolor: Cool Grey 10% and 20%

Stampin Up Label Love and Artisan Punch with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog today.  I like to keep some premade backgrounds in my stash and I ran across this embossed card.  I thought it would be a perfect compliment for the current Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

Here is this week's sketch. It is so versatile.

I stamped and embossed the sentiment.  Then I punched it with the coordinating punch.  I used pop dots to allow for room to loop my fiber under it.  I distressed the top of the embossed background with some copper ink to highlight a "happy".

Here's a close up of my sentiment.  My banner is on a thick paper with specks of glitter inside.  I chose the embossing powder to match the flecks. I finished the card off with copper fiber and stars.

Ingredients:
Cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing folder
Stampin Up Label Love stamp (age about 10 years)
Stampin Up Artisan Label Punch
Brillance Cosmic Copper ink
Ranger Embossing Tinsel: Copper
Stampin Up Sizzix Banners Framelits
Stampin Up Elements: Stars
Stampin Up Copper fiber
misc card stock and papers

Kindred Stamps Galactic Desert Sexy Goddess card

Happy Anniversary to my husband, it's been 10 years.  I paid homage to the traditional tenth anniversary gift, tin.  I used the Tim Holtz Foundry embossing folder on some metallic card stock. I think any man of a certain age finds this image of the galactic princess from the epic sci fi story to be a turn on, I paired it with a sentiment that reflected such.

Another view.  It was hard to not get a pink reflection from my phone on the metallic dry embossed piece.  I used embossing powder and heat embossing on the sentiment.

I layered all the pieces in a silver mat.  The printed paper is from the Kindred Stamps Galactic paper stack. I mounted my colored image on pop dots.

It's too late to play along, however, I want to give credit to the card sketch I used from Sketch N Scrap.

Ingredients:
Kindred Stamps Galactic Desert and Sexy Space stamps
Kindred Stamps Galactic 6x6 paper
We R Comstock collection paper: Ginger
Colorbox Cranberry pigment ink
Stampin Up Burgundy embossing powder
Kat Scrappiness Stitched Sentiment Strips die
Tim Holtz Sizzix 3D Foundry embossing folder
misc card stock including metallic

Alcohol markers for Sexy Goddess:
Prisma color Crimson
Quick Craft Bronze Green
Chameleon Carmel NU4
Spectrum Noir- Basic Earth Brown, Classique Portrait Pink and Sangria, Tri Blend Fair Skin and Metallic Antique Bronze

Tim Holtz 3D Skulls embossing with LED Light Up box

Hello and welcome to today's project.  I created this one for my husband to go in his music room.  I found the LED light box at work.  I thought I could make something cool and I think I did!  It was a simple project with great results.

This a photo without the lights on.

Here's a photo with the original light box and the insert I created.  I began by cutting the transparency to fit the box.  Then I inked up the film.  I used varying shades of blue and black Ranger Alcohol inks. Finally, I embossed the sheet with the Tim Holtz 3D Skulls folder.  The insert was larger than the folder, therefore, I ran the transparency through twice.

Here's another couple of shots of the unlit box. I inked the transparency first so as to not have the inks pool in the dimension after embossing.

Finally, another lit shot of the project.  My husband likes it and that is what matters.

Ingredients:
LED light box
Tim Holtz Sizzix 3D Skulls
Tim Holtz Ranger Alcohol inks
Transparency sheet cut to fit box

Alcohol Ink Panel with Stampin Up Tin Tile embossing folder for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Happy Summer Solstice and welcome to my latest post for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. This week we are partnering with Double Trouble challenge with a twist to create your own background.  I did double duty on the twist. I embossed the yellow paper and added a piece of alcohol background.

Here is the sketch:

This version I created for my SIL's birthday last week.

The embossing folder is 6x6 so I was able to snip a square from the leftovers on which to mount the butterfly.

I used a die cut sentiment for both, I placed this one inside of the card.

Ingredients:
Alcohol inks on mixed media paper
Stampin Up Sizzix Tin Tile 3D 6x6 Embossing folder
K & Co paper butterflies
Karen Burniston Word Set 1 - Greetings (card 1)
Spellbinders Phrases set one (card 2 inside)
misc card stock
ribbon and gems

Don't forget to play along with this great sketch until Sunday at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

Rabbit Hole Designs Caffeinated Unicorn cards

Welcome dear readers. I am working with some old stash.  I have had this stamp and die I won from The Rabbit Hole Designs for too long without utilizing it.  And, I have finally used it to create these simple but adorable cards.  I added interest by using embossing folders.

I am also using the Kindred Stamps Sentiment Strip Dies for the first time.  I love them! They are perfect for framing sentiments.

Card number two has a slightly different color palette. I used multiple colored pens on the hair, a different embossing folder and different sentiment.  Both sentiments are from the stamp set.

It's hard to see but I used a Wink of Stella pen on the horns.

 Ingredients:
The Rabbit Hole Designs Caffeinated Unicorn stamps and die
Tutti Stitched Nesting Ovals
Tim Holtz Sizzix Ink Splats and Dots embossing folders
Wink of Stella shimmer pens

Stampin Up Cauldron Bubble with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog today.  I have my inspiration from the latest Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge;'s sketch.  I had blast playing with the cluster in the sketch.  I did take some liberties but I am very happy with the result.

Here is the sketch:

A close up showing details of my coloring and stamping.

Forgive me, it is a lot to keep track of all the alcohol markers I used.  I did remember to lay them all out for a photo!

I die cut a stitched white circle.  Onto which I stamped and embossed the sentiment.  I used a dye ink for the starry "smoke".  I layered the cauldron, witch, broom and frog in a cluster on the front.  I used pop dots for the cauldron and frog.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up Cauldron Bubble stamps and dies
Stampin Up Cucumber Crush ink
Versamark ink
Recollections Eggplant Pearl embossing powder
Stampin Up Pick a Banner punch
Our Daily Bread Designs Double Stitched Circles
Sizzix Crown Flourish embossing folder
