Thanks Bunches with Freshly Made Sketches

Good morning dear readers.  I had a chance to play for a minute this weekend, between all my other commitments.  I wish I could have an entire weekend to lock myself in my studio.  I am not sure when that will happen again.  Life is just so busy. I took inspiration from a sketch and a few challenges I saw over on Paper Playful such an awesome resource!  Thank you to all the volunteers who compile the info.

So for this sketch I pulled some of my 6x6 paper pads and as I often like to do, created a feminine and masculine version of the sketch.  I saw several embossing challenges this week and decided on a couple of embossing folders as a twist.

I should have thought out my sentiment color a little better on the masculine version.  I inked the "thanks" but it still doesn't pop like I wanted.  IRL is looks fine though.

Here's the sketch from Freshly made sketches:

The Paper Loft & Sketch N Scrap Sketch

Today I have used The Paper Loft's Everyday Life collection for this awesome layout!  It was supposed to be a regular layout for my scrapbook but I started adding all these light bulbs!  I thought they were appropriate since my husband works with electricity.  This is him and his dad at Christmas in 2011.  I am now going to frame it and give it to my FIL for Father's Day.

Here's the sketch I used:

Some of the embellishments are Tim Holtz, some are The Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby and I bet some are Recollections from Michael's.  I think the spinners are from Stampin Up.  The sticker letters are from The Paper Loft, too.  7 Gypsies paper tape is layered behind the picture.
