Favorite Embellishments for Lasting Memories Challenge as Guest Designer

It's Sunday and time for my July guest designer post for Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenges.  This week's challenge is to use your favorite embellishment.  My favorite is gems/dots/pearls. I threw in a lot of buttons on this sketch but the smaller pearls are really my go to for any layout or card.

I used the July 1 sketch from Sketch N Scrap. I turned the sketch to accommodate my photo orientation.  It really allowed me to highlight my favorite embellishments.

Here is a close up of the embellishments.

Ingredients:

Creative Memories Rugged Power Palette

Crafter's Square blue pearls

misc buttons and beads

Here's the sketch:

some details:

This particular site was important to the Mayan culture.  Most Mayan women made the journey to this site at least once in their lifetime.  It was customary to provide an offering.  I, of course, participated in such an ancient ritual.

misc brads

Cricut cut font

Creative Memories Rugged Digital Layout

I used a pre-designed page and the Creative Memories Rugged Digital Power Palette for the great layout of my son from the Cincinnati Zoo many moons ago.

Cricut Pagoda with Creative Memories Rugged Power Palette

I used the Pagoda Cricut cartridge to create custom embellishments for my two page layout using Creative Memories Rugged Power Palette.  The pictures are from my 2009 trip to Washington, D.C.
