Creative Memories Cakes & Candles with Sketch N Scrap

I'm back with more layouts for my niece, I found it went pretty fast to begin with a sketch.  I scoured my favorite blogs for their current sketches and found photos and paper that worked with each sketch. That said if you are a regular reader, you are in for a few post of scrapbook pages packed in to these last few days of the year.

Here's the sketch I used for this one.  I found this perfect printed piece of card stock.  However, it didn't work with the full panel on the left, so the scallop circle will have to serve for that piece.

I found these die cuts in my stash. I have no idea of the brand.  I added some polka dotted washi behind this one.  I had some Creative Memories dotted stickers that worked perfect with the other elements.

The sticker sentiments came from the Creative Memories Cakes & Candles collection.

Ingredients:
Craft Smith Hip Tots Card stock stack
Creative Memories Cakes & Candles stickers
misc birthday die cuts from my stash
washi tape

Hapbee Birthday Scrapbook pages with Stick it Down Double Page Sketch

Good morning and welcome to another layout of my niece. This is her first birthday party.  I took these photos.  I loved this sketch because it called for so many photos and I took so many of this event.

Here's the sketch from Stick it Down

Here's a close up of page one.  I purchased this paper stack second hand at a crafty yard sale. I had the giant doilies in my stash.  I also had these Classic Pooh embellishments in my stash for a while.  I had three or four packs, I have used them many times and just love them.

I used my Cricut to cut the title.  I added a Pooh embellishment to the center.  There is a bee as part of the cut underneath.

Here's page two.

Vintage Dress Page for Sketches in Thyme

Hello and welcome to my blog on this happy holiday. I am posting my take on this weeks Sketches in Thyme sketch. I have so much to say about this layout. First of all my niece is just adorable and I love scrapping her photographs. Second, the subject matter. This baby is the 12th or 13th girl to wear this dress. It is over 50 years old.  It was my first Easter dress purchased prior to my birth.

Third, here's the sketch.  You can play along on the Sketches in Thyme Facebook Group.

I found this paper at a crafty yard sale.  It no longer had the cover page, so I can't be sure of the brand.  There were four or five designs from this stack included.  They were perfect for this layout and a couple of more I did of her, which will be revealed later.  I just happened to have a 6x6 stack of rose gold papers which perfectly matched the rose gold foil in that stack. Maybe the stack is DCWV as well?

I added some Jolee's little hands and Martha Stewart textured hearts along the gingham vellum circle.  I cut the circle using the large Creative Memories circle in the custom cutting system. On a few of the embellishments I layered some scrap ribbon.  I cut the large foil heart and background with a Stampin Up punch set.

Ingredients:
unknown paper collection
DCWV Solid Rose Golds 6x6
Martha Stewart White Dimensional Heart stickers
Jolee's By You hand die cuts
Stampin Up ribbon
vellum and white card stock
Creative Memories Custom Cutting System large circle red blade
Prima Lyric collection butterfly

misc embellishments
Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalking ink Feather Gray
Crafter's Square Metallic Marker Rose Gold? Copper?

Brother & Sister Layout with Stick it Down single page sketch

Hello and welcome to today's post.  Every year I scrap pages to add to my in-laws' scrapbook I gifted them.  This time around they need a new album as well.  I created more than a dozen new pages and here is one.  I took these photos from a professional photo session they had of their children. I have no idea where the photos were taken but there were just a few with this old brick house background.  This sketch from Stick it Down was perfect to highlight the one large photo.

Here is the sketch.

The heart flourish was one piece from Zva Creative.

I cut a larger pearl flourish into a few pieces and strategically places it among the EZ Laser die cut.  I added the Recollections pearl bling in the swirls of the die cut.

Ingredients:
Momenta card stock
Park Lane Paperie Prairie Primrose stack
EZ Laser Design die cut flourish frame
Zva Creative self adhesive pearl
Recollections Bling stickers

Stampin Up Wreath Builder card for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Good morning and welcome to my blog today.  I am showing off my latest cards for Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge.  I went wild with this sketch.  I recently acquired this used Stampin Up wreath set. I thought it worked great with this sketch.

Here's the sketch.

I used the same Stampin Up paper stack and cut several pieces the size I needed.  It was doubled sided and coordinating.

Essentially the cards are all the same, I stamped 6-7 partridges and dozens of pears.  They are all the same colors, then I added the die cut wreaths.  I did cut these out of several different greens and gold.

Here's a close up of one of the wreaths.  I found these wood embellishments at Indigo Hippo my favorite creative reuse store.  They were the perfect sentiment for the card.  I tried using a stamp pad to color them but in the end markers were the best option for complete coverage. I am pretty sure I found the paper stack there within the last year as well.

More and more, I can't really decide which one I liked the best.

Lots of dimension in this set. These cards cost .99 cents to mail.  I hope my friends appreciate the work and the cost going into this set.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up Arrange a Wreath stamp set, Wreath Builder die set, Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper mat stack, Pistachio Pudding and Wild Wasabi card stock
Stampin Up Garden Green, Crushed Curry, Cinnamon Cider inks, Ruby Red and Real Red markers
Kaiser Craft Lucky Dip Wooden Flourish Pack:  Jolly Christmas
American Craft metallic green marker
misc card stock

Hello and welcome to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge inspiration card.  This time around I am using a new acquisition.  I invested in the Spellbinders Perfect Pie collection.  I believe I was turned onto it by previous Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge entries, I found them to be so cute, I saved the product.  I finally pulled the trigger recently and wanted to create with them as soon as possible.  The scalloped circle in the middle of the sketch just screamed PIE!

Here's the sketch.

Good Morning! I am here today with my page inspired by Sketches in Thyme #542 by the sketch designer Brenda Ragsdale. I know lots of folks are shopping today but I am hoping to craft all day!
My inspiration uses a Simple Stories kit I won earlier this year. It is Simple Vintage Garden District. I used papers and embellishments from the kit as well as adding a few sequins and bling from my stash. The photos are of my friends at a very nice dinner in Jamaica.

We will be going back to the same restaurant next year.  It was delicious and the cliffside view is amazing.

Amazing Alcohol Ink Card

Welcome to my blog today. It's going to be an amazing day!  How can it not be with so many days off to craft! I was so pleased with this alcohol ink background. I wanted to show as much of this gorgeous background as possible. I framed the card with the largest die from the Divinity Designs Double Stitched Rectangles set. I cut the bold sentiment from metallic silver paper using Stamplorations Amazing cutploration die.

While creating the background I smooshed scrap foil on the still drying ink layered on black gloss card stock.  The foil sticks to the still wet puddles where the colors meet.  It is even more striking in person.

Ingredients:
Divinity Designs Double Stitched Rectangles
black glossy paper
Stamplorations Cutplorations Amazing die
Metallic silver paper
alcohol ink
silver foil

Graphic 45 with Stampin Up A Corny Thank You and Atlantic Hearts Sketch

Hello and welcome today.  I have my latest design team inspiration for Atlantic Hearts Sketch #500.  I have used two of my favorite brands, Graphic 45 and Stampin' Up. I used G45 Fashion Forward November paper.  I picked up a bulk pack at Tuesday Morning earlier this year.  I have a couple of other months but not all of them. Once I scored those I had to have some coordinating papers, I found the G45 Fashion Forward Pattern Paper pack to assist in stretching out my collection. I dug in my stash for some coordinating card stock for the center section.

Here is the sketch.  I am sure you could reimagine it as a different size card if you are not fond of slimline.

I always have a lot of fun stamping multiple pieces. I used three complimentary Stampin Up inks for the acorn pieces. I die cut some foliage to tuck behind the acorns.

The pattern is a bit busy.  I feel like I did a good job at pulling the various colors from it for all the other elements. The sentiment was cut from reverse side of the floral pattern.

One last look at the complete card.

Ingredients:
Graphic 45 Fashion Forward November  and pattern papers
Stampin Up Acorny Thank You stamps and Acorn Punch
Stampin Up Tangelo Twist, Berry Burst and Gumball Green
Spellbinders Foliage dies
card stock from my stash

Stampin Up Give Thanks for all Things with Atlantic Hearts Sketch

Hello and welcome to November. It is now time to turn our attention from the festivities of Halloween to giving thanks for our blessings.  I have created a thankful card with the latest sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  This seemingly simple design involved a lot of die cutting.  The stripe in the middle is my first attempt at a Tim Holtz colorized die.

Here's the sketch.

Here is a close up of the sentiment.  I stamped and embossed then die cut on a Spellbinders oval and found the coordinating lacey oval die to frame it.

Details of my colorized die cuts..

So many tiny layers but in the end I feel they are designed to make as few pieces as possible to get exquisite detail.

A quick final note.  I woke up early this morning and went to watch some of the eclipse.  I meditated on the state of our country and I sent blessings to all for the best possible outcome for our democracy today.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up For All Things sentiment stamp
Colorbox Mix'd Media Leather pigment ink
Hampton Art Clear Embossing Powder
Spellbinders Decorative Elements Dies Lacey Ovals and Ovals
Tim Holtz Sizzix Woodgrain Colorize
paper from stash
