Stampin Up Give Thanks for all Things with Atlantic Hearts Sketch

Hello and welcome to November. It is now time to turn our attention from the festivities of Halloween to giving thanks for our blessings.  I have created a thankful card with the latest sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  This seemingly simple design involved a lot of die cutting.  The stripe in the middle is my first attempt at a Tim Holtz colorized die.

Here's the sketch.

Here is a close up of the sentiment.  I stamped and embossed then die cut on a Spellbinders oval and found the coordinating lacey oval die to frame it.

Details of my colorized die cuts..

So many tiny layers but in the end I feel they are designed to make as few pieces as possible to get exquisite detail.

A quick final note.  I woke up early this morning and went to watch some of the eclipse.  I meditated on the state of our country and I sent blessings to all for the best possible outcome for our democracy today.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up For All Things sentiment stamp
Colorbox Mix'd Media Leather pigment ink
Hampton Art Clear Embossing Powder
Spellbinders Decorative Elements Dies Lacey Ovals and Ovals
Tim Holtz Sizzix Woodgrain Colorize
paper from stash

Prima Paper Pretty Mosaic Laughter card for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Hello, it's time again for my Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge inspiration. This week I am playing with some new (to me) papers.  I fell in love with this paper stack I acquired second hand. I created an entire series of cards with it.  I hope to post soon.

Here's the sketch:

I fussy cut a butterfly from a scrap of paper and inked the edges. I manipulated the wings and adhered to the card only in the center for a more 3D effect.

I stamped the sentiment in Perfect Plum and inked the edges.  I layered all the paper pieces on a soft plum card stock.

Ingredients:
Prima Pretty Mosaic Paper
Stampin Up Word Play sentiment
Stampin Up Perfect Plum ink
misc card stock
Colorbox Cat's Eye ink
pearls and brads
