Scrapbook.com Boots cards with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome to this week's inspiration for Atlantic Hearts Challenge.  I cut lots of little bits and pieces to create some unique boots using the Scrapbook.com Disco dies.  I had these small scraps of floral paper that began this pair.  I added complimentary pieces and layered on a goldenrod background.

Here is the sketch.  I used the same goldenrod paper and more papers from Scrapbook.com Vacation paper pad to create the strips.  I die cut more pieces for the scallop.

I adhered all the die cut pieces and strips to a neutral card base.

I made a masculine version as well using a few different products.  Lawn Fawn paper for the strips and I die cut barbed wire from metallic paper.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up Baked Brown Sugar
lace border dies (feminine version)
Cheery Lynn Designs Barbed Wire (masculine version)
misc card stock

Cricut Pow-HER-ful Card

Good day to you, my readers.  Today is National Beautiful Day! I want to share this awesome card I created for my beautiful coworker.  I found this image just too cool and she was the perfect recipient.  I didn't want it too flashy but thought the brown glitter was the perfect amount of bling!

A side view of the glitter.  It has a hint of pink/red to it, so a perfect match with the pink paper.  It was a super quick make, I cut the image in pink on the Cricut, it was a bit plain so I die cut it and layered the glitter paper cut in the next larger size.  Both of those layers on top of a printed paper and on the card base.  It couldn't have been easier but still quite a striking card.

Ingredients:
Cricut Access image
K & Co Brown Glitter card stock
The Paper Studio Bright Pink shimmer
Paper from my stash
Spellbinders Label Eleven dies

Dreaming Tree Simply Stripes bag for Bitten By the Bug 2 Box or bag challenge

It is time for a new challenge at BBTB2. Bitten By the Bug 2's Easter Bags, Boxes or Baskets challenge will be open for the next two weeks.  I have used another Dreaming Tree SVG for my project.  I received the Handy Handbags bundle free with a $10 purchase.  What a great deal!  This project wasn't as difficult as it looks.  I find watching the assembly videos really helps as Leo the owner gives you some great tips for completing each project.

I used Quick Quotes Spring Showers papers with a green shimmer card stock base.

.The front pocket is a versatile detail.

I used a magnet to keep it closed.

The pocket is the perfect size for a gift card.

I used a paper that was not uniformly patterned for the sides.  One side is more white washed wood and the other has more flowers.

One of Leo's tips was to fray the "tassels" which I did before rolling and adhering.

I also embossed the metallic copper cuts to add more detail.

A view of the back of the bag.

One last look at this project.  I can't wait to make another bag in the bundle.

Ingredients:
Dreaming Tree Striped Purse
Bright Green shimmer card stock
Quick Quotes Spring Showers paper collection
Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalking ink
American Craft yellow textured card stock
metallic copper card stock
Darice 12" flourish embossing folder
Brown metallic pearls
glue dots and red lined tape

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to play along with Bitten By the Bug 2's Easter Bags, Boxes or Baskets for the next two weeks.

Masculine and Feminine Two-fer with Quick Quotes Savannah collection

Hello, Alicia with you today.  I created a couple of cards with the new Savannah papers and Savannah Quotes and Phrases sheet.  I love the checkboard pattern of Savannah 100 paper and thought it lent itself toward a masculine card.  For the second card I found the feminine patterned on the opposing side and made the Life is Beautiful card.

Both cards start with an A2 (4.25" x5.5") card base of white card stock.  I also used an ATC gun for adhesive except where otherwise noted.
