Stamps of Life Chocolate Box Birthday card as Guest Designer for FarmQuest Grocery Game Challenges

Hello and welcome.  I am excited to be a guest designer for FarmQuest Grocery Game Challenge for challenge #21, anything food goes!  My favorite food is chocolate!  I got the chance to play with this Stamps of Life set for the first time. I went wild experimenting. I die cut the chocolates (used here) and I also colored and embossed the chocolates (I will show that make another time). I did watch the Stamps of Life video on youtube and boy did it have some helpful hints.

Play along with anything FOOD goes HERE.

I found a wonderful die cut sentiment and cut it in the same papers as I used on the chocolates.  I actually used three different papers on the chocolates.  The glitter, the Bazzil and a matte dark brown for the wrappers.

I found some vintage bias in my stash to add a bow because every box of chocolates needs a bow especially a birthday box!

It may not seem that I stamped on this make, but I did!  I stamped the box of chocolates then layered the die cuts on top if not colored it is a template for the die cuts.

Ingredients:
Stamps of Life Chocolate2stamps and dies
vintage fiber
White card stock
Momento Tuxedo Black ink

Crafter's Companion Vintage Vegas 102nd Birthday card

Welcome today. As you may notice these photos were not taken in my studio. I sometimes call my son "last minute logan"....wonder where he gets it?  I finished this one on the way out the door to the party. Quite a special one! 102!! I used some new products from Crafter's Companion. As I was making this, I decided I need more of this collection.  I have only the embossing folder and this die set.  I need the other die set and sentiment set.

Here's the birthday boy with his card.

Ingredients:

UPDATE:  Vernon Hill passed away the day after his 102nd birthday.  I think he chose to leave us that day...he had a full and wonderful life and was healthy up to the end.  I don't see how one could ask for more.

Stampin Up Label Love and Artisan Punch with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog today.  I like to keep some premade backgrounds in my stash and I ran across this embossed card.  I thought it would be a perfect compliment for the current Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

Here is this week's sketch. It is so versatile.

I stamped and embossed the sentiment.  Then I punched it with the coordinating punch.  I used pop dots to allow for room to loop my fiber under it.  I distressed the top of the embossed background with some copper ink to highlight a "happy".

Here's a close up of my sentiment.  My banner is on a thick paper with specks of glitter inside.  I chose the embossing powder to match the flecks. I finished the card off with copper fiber and stars.

Ingredients:
Cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing folder
Stampin Up Label Love stamp (age about 10 years)
Stampin Up Artisan Label Punch
Brillance Cosmic Copper ink
Ranger Embossing Tinsel: Copper
Stampin Up Sizzix Banners Framelits
Stampin Up Elements: Stars
Stampin Up Copper fiber
misc card stock and papers

Welcome to my blog today.  I have created a birthday card for my husband using this week's sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I used Kindred Stamps Galactic Hunter stamps and a background stamp.

Here is the sketch.

I had the galaxy background in my background stash.  I am using some iridescent film I recently acquired from a resale.  I think there are four or five different colors, this is the blue version.

Stampin Up Cycle Celebration with Sketch N Scrap sketch

Today is my niece's birthday, I made her this card to match the cute dress I purchased.  The print of the dress is just like the denim with white star paper.  I knew I had this paper in my stash, it is from Creative Memories many years ago.  I paired it with some birthday images from Stampin Up.

Here's the sketch from Sketch N Scrap.  I switched the flower up with a star because the dress had stars, however, I didn't want to forget it is a birthday card, so I chose the candle images.  Two for her second birthday and I circled the 2 on the paper.

I stamped the images and colored the flames with alcohol ink. I die cut the stitched star out of plain card stock.  I stamped the sentiment and die cut it with one of my most used sets from Kat Scrapiness.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up Cycle Celebration stamps
Stampin Up Blueberry Bushel and Cranberry Crisp inks
Kat Scrappiness Stitched Sentiment Strips dies
Stitched Star nesting dies
Copic Markers for flames:  Y32 Cashmere, Y19 Napoli Yellow, Y17 Golden Yellow

Creative Memories Cakes & Candles with Sketch N Scrap

I'm back with more layouts for my niece, I found it went pretty fast to begin with a sketch.  I scoured my favorite blogs for their current sketches and found photos and paper that worked with each sketch. That said if you are a regular reader, you are in for a few post of scrapbook pages packed in to these last few days of the year.

Here's the sketch I used for this one.  I found this perfect printed piece of card stock.  However, it didn't work with the full panel on the left, so the scallop circle will have to serve for that piece.

I found these die cuts in my stash. I have no idea of the brand.  I added some polka dotted washi behind this one.  I had some Creative Memories dotted stickers that worked perfect with the other elements.

The sticker sentiments came from the Creative Memories Cakes & Candles collection.

Ingredients:
Craft Smith Hip Tots Card stock stack
Creative Memories Cakes & Candles stickers
misc birthday die cuts from my stash
washi tape

Party This Way! Karen Burniston Tag Pop Up with critters for Dies R Us

Hi there.  It's Alicia and it's been a few years but I have joined the DT again.  I am so excited to bring you my first project!  I created a tag pop up book as a birthday card for my nephew.  I am sure the pop up will be sure to thrill him as I hope it does you.  With the assistance of Karen Burniston assembly videos, these kinetic cards really go together quite easily for a wow factor that wasn't a lot of work.

The real work was in designing all the animals included in his card but they are just so darn cute!  I got carried away making these little guys.  I am sure you will see more Karen Burniston critters from me on future projects.  I own a few sets but not all of them yet!

I had to "fussy" cut the sheriff's badge for the ostrich's hat.  I could not for the life of me find anything that tiny to use.  I am sure there is something in the Dies R Us Store. I will eventually find it!  I added an extra strip of color to the football helmet.  I die cut the center section with a scrap of gold to get that perfect rounded edge.  Then I simple cut the sides to create a strip and adhered. Also of note, I used colored card stock for all the critters but not the cow.  I used white card stock and colored the details with markers.

The most important step is to only place adhesive on the ends of the pop up assembly and adhere to the tag base.  If you get adhesive on any of the pop out portion your card will not work correctly.

As I assembled the project, I continuously checked with each piece that it worked properly.  Stringing the banner was the most delicate part of this process.  Once all the inside pieces were in place, I added the front panel and tied pieces of twine in the holes of the tags.

The following is a list of Dies R Us Store products I used. In addition I used Stampin Up stamps, ink and punch for the sentiments, twine, markers, card stock and Quick Quotes designer papers.

Tim Holtz Old Jalopy Masculine Birthday with Sketch N Scrap

This month is my dad's birthday.  I made him this masculine card with Tim Holtz dies.  I was going through my stash and this blue card stock was already paired with this patterned paper.  I went a step further to grunge up the blue paper with a background stamp and embossing powder.  I also inked all the edges to further distress the card.

Here is the Sketch N Scrap sketch I used.

I stained the screw head brad with Ranger alcohol ink to match the patterned paper.  I layered the die cuts on top of a border of paper tape and twine.  I used a glue dot behind the knot to keep the twine in place.

Ingredients:
Tim Holtz Sizzix Bigz Gadget Gears and Movers & Shapers Mini Gear dies
Tim Holtz Sizzix Movers and Shapers Mini Old Jalopy
Impression Obsession grunge stamp
Stampin Up Sprinkles of Life sentiment stamp
Momento black ink
Stampin Up Baroque Burgundy ink
Stampin Up punch
7 Gypsies paper tape
brad stained with Ranger Raisin alcohol ink
Versamark ink
Judikins Detail clear embossing powder
black and ivory shimmer card stock
patterned paper, fiber paper and twine from my stash
Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalking ink
washi tape
