Stampin Up Everything is Rosy Mother's Day card

Welcome today!  I whipped up this pretty Mother's Day card for my niece with the new to me Stampin Up Everything is Rosy kit.  It was so pretty. It's been a while since I pulled out my Creative Memories border maker system.  I thought this sketch from Sketch N Scrap called for a fun punched border. I stamped the sentiment from Stampin Up Messages for Mom.

I used the Sketch N Scrap throwback sketch in the lower left.

In this photo you can see the rose gold foiling in the pattern papers. I popped up the floral elements.  I used the 1/2" scraps from cutting down the 6x6 papers to create the ribbons.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up Everything is Rosy DSP and kit pieces
Stampin Up Messages for Mom
Stampin Up Not Quite Navy ink
Creative Memories Scallop Dot border maker cartridge
misc card stock
pop dots and tape runner

I would like to play along with the following challenges:

DCWV Glamrock stack with The ScrapRoom sketch

This layout is another group selfie from the same weekend as the layout from yesterday...only in these photos it's Sunday night and we are back in Cincinnati.  The festival we were attending was rained out, so we packed up and came back home in time to catch another great show.  Here we are at Bogart's seeing the Marcus King Band.

Here's the iNSD sketch I used from The ScrapRoom Group's Facebook challenge.  I substituted the Spellbinders label die cuts for the circles. I used the Creative Memories Bordermaker system for the edging.

Here is a close up of the chipboard embellishment.  I tied some silver ric rac in the holes.  I sprinkled some silver star sequins

Ingredients:
DCWV Glamrock stack and Rockstar embellishments
Spellbinders dies
Creative Memories Bordermaker Notebook cartridge
Creative Memories Sticker letters
Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalking ink Midnight Confessions
ric rac and star sequins

All things grow with love...Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome to this week's inspiration for the latest Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge.  The next two weeks we are collaborating with Double Trouble challenge.  Their challenge is to use flowers and secondly to add something that goes bzzzzzzz.  I have followed all three challenges with my card below.

Here's the sketch this week:

I started with some American Craft flowers but a couple of layers clashed.  I disassembled them and layered with punched flowers from coordinating Quick Quotes papers.  I also layered a punched flower under the bee brad.  The perfect little buzzzzzz for my flowers.

Ingredients:
Quick Quotes Farmhouse papers and chipboard
Quick Quotes Warm Grey powderpuff chalking inks
Creative Memories Border Maker system
EK Success flower punch
Maggie Holmes Crate Paper Flea Market flowers (altered)
bee brad from my stash (possibly K & Co)
bling

Follow your heart...Atlantic Hearts Challenge sketch

Hello and welcome to this week's inspiration for the latest Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge.  I created a card with the next holiday in mind.  I began with a couple of  die cut hearts and added a wood heart and bling.

Here's the sketch:

I used a border maker for the fancy edge of the very old Creative Memories printed paper.  I used Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalking inks to color my wooden heart.  I used the same ink to highlight the embossing on the Sue Wilson die cut and the Tim Holtz die cut.  I topped off the card with a few bling.

Here's a close up of my velvet sentiment.  It screams Valentine's!

Ingredients:
Sue Wilson Shadow Box Wedding dies
Tim Holtz Sizzix Bigz Love Struck
Marvy Uchida border punch
Creative Memories paper
wood heart and bling
Quick Quotes Berry Jam Powderpuff chalking ink
vellum, velvet, card stock

It had to be you...Creative Memories Reminisce wedding layout

Welcome to my blog today.  Guess what I have to show you today?  Another wedding layout.  I am getting closer to completing this album by the day!  I used the Creative Memories Reminisce power palette on many pages because the colors work so well with the stained glass in the wedding venue.  I used manual and electronic die cuts on this one.  Great shot of my hubby watching me walk down the aisle.

Here's the sketch I used from Sketches in Thyme.  I turned it 90 degrees.

A close up of my cuts:

Music layouts from Creative Memories Virtual Crop

Last weekend, I participated in a virtual crop and completed about a dozen pages.  The first one is a festival from September 9. How's that for scrapping fast?  I got my tickets for this sold out festival at noon and it started at 1!  Some of my friends were already going so we all piled in to ride together.  It was perfect!  We also met some musicians and saw some other friends.  The band I wanted to go to see was the Marcus King Band.

Here's the sketch I used:

An autumn colored Thank you

I whipped this card up over the weekend as part of the Creative Memories Virtual Crop.  This was the only card challenge as part of the crop.  I love how this turned out.  The card base is a cover stock that I found at a thrift store, I am trying to use it as much as possible.  It is a crazy yellow~orange but has suited many cards lately.  I love that is cover stock, not card, it is so thick and textured. I added rows of border punched paper from Creative Memories Reminisce collection.

Here's the sketch.

4.25 x 5.5 Card Sketch - Page 001

And another view...you can see here how I manipulated the papers and flowers to provide dimension to my card.

Ingredients:
Creative Memories Reminisce papers, stickers, border maker and flowers
Stampin Up stamp and punch
Colorbox Mix'd Media Berries ink
Recollections gems

The Proposal layout...Challenge Yourself Pagemap

I had quite a productive weekend. I played along with a virtual crop and managed to fit in a couple of challenges as well.  All in all I completed about a dozen pages and a dozen cards. One of the challenges I used was Challenge yourself's sketch.  I hardly participate over there since I rarely scrap myself...but I am currently working on my wedding album and for once I did NOT take all the pictures!  These pics are actually the proposal and my sister was my photographer for both events.

http://scrap-challenge-yourself.blogspot.ca/2017/09/cy-45-use-pagemaps-sketch.html

Some of my details include this layered embellishment I created.  I recently purchased a pack of color themed die cuts at Tuesday Morning, the pack I picked was gold.  I layered two of the pieces here.

Here I layered a fancy Spellbinders die cut with a chipboard die cut and some matching Creative Memories stickers.  Love was white and it was a little stark so I colored it with a silver shimmer pen.

I actually created this page first from a sketch during my virtual crop.  Then I searched the web for a sketch that would work with my photos for the companion page.

Here's the sketch I used for this one. I was playing along with the Creative Memories Virtual Crop.

12 x 12 Sketches - Page 006

Ingredients:
Creative Memories Divine collection (papers, flowers, enamel dots, stickers)
Creative Memories stickers
Quick Quotes vellum and chipboard titles
Spellbinders dies:  Decorative Labels twenty-seven, labels twenty and ribbon banner large
border punch
die cuts
