Creative Memories Primary Layout with Arrow and Zig Zag Border Maker Cartridges

The week's challenge over at Lasting Memories challenge blog is a Tool Free for All and this layout certainly has it all.  I used the Creative Memories Custom Cutting system, CM circle punch, CM corner rounder and CM border maker. As far as "forgotten" tools, the corner rounder is definitely one that I don't pull out very often, the border maker and punch are also not used very often but I will admit my CM CCS sits pretty near by and does get touched often.  Now that is a great tool system considering I have purchased the base set over 20 years ago!  I have replaced the blades and broke one template over the years.  I would say that was one great investment!

I used this sketch from the Creative Memories World Wide Virtual Crop.

Here is the first page.  The photo is a unique view of the Ryman.  I used all Creative Memories papers and embellishments from the Primary collection.

I used the arrow and the zig zag border cartridge for these layouts.  I also used the negative arrows to embellish the layout.

I created the little "Tennessee" seal from scrap paper and punches.  I was pretty impressed with myself even though it is a simple emblem.

Ingredients:
Creative Memories Primary Power Palette including papers, mats, stickers, paper ribbon buckle and paper ribbons
Creative Memories Border Maker Arrow and Zig Zig cartridges
Creative Memories circle punch, corner rounder and oval cutting system
Creative Memories sticker letters
Heidi Swap metal file tab
misc star punch
Quick Quotes Midnight Confessions Powderpuff Chalking ink

DCWV Rock Star Stack and Layla's in Nashville

Hello and thanks for stopping by to check out my scrapbook layout.  I love this DCWV stack.  I have a couple of them.  It was really fun creating the strips along the sides of this layout.  I got to use a lot of various printed papers.  I cut the fussy cut the flags and license plates.

Here is the sketch I used from the Creative Memories World Wide Virtual Crop

Please forgive my slang for South Broadway not sure if it is used this way or not but I was running out of these letters, so it worked for the layout.

Page two contains the same inked strips and die cuts.  The layout is simply mirrored so I used different background papers as to not completely wash out the photos.

I inked all the edges of each strip. It was time consuming but worth the effort.

I used old Creative Memories music note die cuts along with record die cuts I made myself.  When I purchased the die set years ago I made the juke box and haven't pulled it out since.

Ingredients:
DCWV Rock Star stack
Creative Memories sticker letters
Creative Memories music note die cuts
Sizzix record die cuts from Jukebox die set
Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalking inks

Graphic 45 Raining Cats & Dogs with Atlantic Hearts Sketch

It's time for a new sketch over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge.    This one was such a fun one!  I found the perfect papers and dies for this sketch.  The umbrella die I used has a couple of different decorative options and I tried a each on the different cards.

Here's the sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge.

All the patterned paper is from the Graphic 45 Raining Cats & Dogs collection.  I used a Spellbinders nesting die to frame the stamped sentiment and the next larger size for the layer.  I used black washi tape for my stripes.

This umbrella insert was an embossed filigree I inked to highlight the dimension.

I created an entire set since this was such a great sketch and I love the variety of rainy sentiments from Happy Little Stampers. I won a challenge one month and used my winning gift certificate on this awesome set.

Ingredients:
Graphic 45 Raining Cats & Dogs papers
Our Daily Bread Designs Umbrella die
Happy Little Stampers Rainy Days sentiment
Colorbox Black pigment ink
Spellbinders Labels Twenty two
washi tape
various papers

Stinkin' Cute Quick Quotes layout

This a layout to add to my nephew's scrapbook.  It was simple as I used left overs from a Quick Quotes kit.  However, the negative paper proved to be an excellent frame.  I popped it up on foam to cover the edges of the very thick ribbon.

I used both Creative Memories and Stampin Up punches to create the tags also utilizing negative with the punched out star to dress up the simple white tags.  Well, I also inked them which I am very fond of doing and added some rich velvety fiber.  These are some great pics I took of a visit too long ago.  It is time to go again!

I tried to ink up this buckle.  I used alcohol inks hoping it would stain the metal, it worked to some degree.  I am not sure if I needed to treat the buckle prior to using the inks.  I also tried it on an altoid tin with the same iffy results.

Ingredients:
Quick Quotes page layout containing Graphic 45 papers, ribbon and buckle
Creative Memories sticker letters
Tag punches from Creative Memories and Stampin Up
Star punch (inside tags)
Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalking inks
white card stock
buttons and fiber

You're Awesome Rainbow with Atlantic Hearts Sketch

It's time for a new sketch over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge.  When I first saw this sketch I thought of the many flags with the crossing lines.  I went with a more universal idea of the Rainbow.  I hope that this positive card brightens someone's day.

Here is the sketch:

I used some rainbow washi tape and a Cricut cut from Groovy Times.  I inked all the layers of the cut prior to adhering together with tape.

I stamped the Close to My Heart sentiment and punched it out with a Stampin Up punch.

Ingredients:
Cricut cartridge Groovy Times
Close To My Heart Just to Say sentiment
Stampin Up label punch
Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalking inks
misc card stock
rainbow washi tape

Abby Cadabby Valentine's Card for Bitten By the Bug 2

It's time for another challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2: Valentine's~Anything Goes!  I created a Sesame Street card for my nephew.  I manually cut the mats, electronically cut Abby and inked all the edges.  I am not familiar with this character and didn't think about her colors until after I had created her so she may be a little different than she should be.  Also I was using up the papers in my scrap stash.

Ingredients:
Cricut Sesame Street Celebrations
Frantic Stamper Rounded Corner rectangles
Creative Memories printed paper
misc card stock
