Stampin Up Cycle Celebration with Sketch N Scrap sketch

Today is my niece's birthday, I made her this card to match the cute dress I purchased.  The print of the dress is just like the denim with white star paper.  I knew I had this paper in my stash, it is from Creative Memories many years ago.  I paired it with some birthday images from Stampin Up.

Here's the sketch from Sketch N Scrap.  I switched the flower up with a star because the dress had stars, however, I didn't want to forget it is a birthday card, so I chose the candle images.  Two for her second birthday and I circled the 2 on the paper.

I stamped the images and colored the flames with alcohol ink. I die cut the stitched star out of plain card stock.  I stamped the sentiment and die cut it with one of my most used sets from Kat Scrapiness.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up Cycle Celebration stamps
Stampin Up Blueberry Bushel and Cranberry Crisp inks
Kat Scrappiness Stitched Sentiment Strips dies
Stitched Star nesting dies
Copic Markers for flames:  Y32 Cashmere, Y19 Napoli Yellow, Y17 Golden Yellow

Happy Mother's Day!  I am posting a layout I created a while ago, but oh so appropriate for this day.  I used Creative Memories Nancy O'Dell's Hummingbird collection.  The colors complimented the blanket baby is wrapped in and her flower head band.

I love the papers and embellishments in this collection.

Alcohol Ink with foil and Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome.  I have my latest inspiration for  Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge today.  I used a lot of scraps in this design. First the alcohol ink panel is a scrap from other cards.  All the fishtails are from scrap as well. I used the 1" Creative Memories square punch to create the tails. I inked the edges of all the pieces with black.

Here is the sketch:

I cut the hello sentiment twice once in iridescent and once in black to create a shadow.

Another view.

Ingredients:

Prima Ruby Violet Handle with Care Mushroom Card-Celebrate Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day!  I created this with Mother Earth in mind.  The Prima Ruby Violet Collection is just too cute!  I used the stamps and 6x6 papers to create this sweet little card.  I find it pretty easy to use a collection and a sketch to create something that turns out great every time.  How can you go wrong?

I used this sketch from Sketch N Scrap sketch from 1.5.15  For the background I chose to stamp mushrooms and heavily ink shadowing on the corners to fit the sketch.

Steps to complete card:
  • Cut coordinating papers in shapes to fit sketch
  • Be sure to chose a lighter paper on which to stamp your sentiment
  • Stamp background or choose a printed paper

Ingredients:
Prima Ruby Violet 6x6 papers and coordinating stamps
Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalking inks

Hello and welcome to my blog today.  I have my inspiration for the latest Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I have used some brand new stash Graphic 45 Little Things collection.  I ordered the 12x12 paper collection, ephemera, chipboard stickers and the stamp set.  Here I used the paper and the stamp set.

Here's the sketch.

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Metallic Flip markers. If you look at the image from a different angle the color should look different, it does but it is hard to capture.

Here is the stamp set and markers with the finished card.

Stampin Up Musical card with Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge

Welcome once again to my inspiration for the latest Atlantic Hearts Challenge sketch.  I began with the idea to create a thank you card for a friend.  I stamped a musical background on an A2 piece of shimmer card stock.  I used a rainbow ombre ink pad and then die cut strips of the stamped image.  I spaced them appropriately on the green mat layered .25" smaller than the A2 card of white card stock.

Here's this week's sketch:

I cut two nesting circle dies and stamped and embossed the sentiment on the white top circle.  I found some music note dies in my stash and added those as embellishments.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up Music background stamp
Stampin Up Music From the Heart
Stampin Up Kaleidocolor Celebration ink
Colorbox Mix'd Media Black ink
Judikins Northwoods embossing mix-half detail clear and half detail black
Divinity Designs Double Stitched Circle dies
Kat Scrappiness Stitched Sentiment Strip dies

First Birthday scrapbook page for Sketches in Thyme

Hello, it's my turn over on the Sketches in Thyme Facebook page to be a monthly maven with my interpretation of this week's sketch.  I fell in love with this layout.  I found a great combination of papers and embellishments to compliment the photos.  It is quite a mix of second hand products, old product and name brand tools.

Here is this week's sketch. I used the Creative Memories custom cutting system to make the circles out of some really old Creative Memories card stock, dusty blue and dusty pink (I think).  I would have to say that is my go to tool for scrapbooking.  While my Big Shot is probably my go to for card making.  I also used a punch and Kiwi Lane templates to create embellishments from premium papers.

The designer cardstock was procured from a crafty yard sale. I have a feeling it's Park Lane (Joann's brand) because other papers I purchased were.  This was a partial stack and I just loved the colors but the rose gold foil treatments cinched the purchase.  I had some rose gold foil papers in my stash which I used to make the elements.

The sticker letters were flocked, the perfect soft touch.  I added punched flowers layered in the various scrap card stock and finished with a pearl center.

Ingredients:
Creative Memories Custom Cutting System Circles
Creative Memories slate card stock
Stampin Up Blossom Bunch Punch
Kiwi Lane templates:  Nature 3T and Explore 3T
Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalking inks Feather Gray
card stock and sticker letters from my stash
pearls

Waffle Flower Snail card with Atlantic Hearts Sketch

Hello dear readers, I am playing with some new dies today. I recently purchased this set from Scrapbook.com.  I have made a few orders from that site lately.  There is so much to choose from they just have everything on my wish list and more!  Back to the task at hand, building this adorable card using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch 516. The squares in the background posed a bit of an issue, they could not be perfectly square on an A2 card.  The card base is based on the squares size of 1.75" x 1.75".

Here is the sketch.

Here is a close up of my snail.  I inlaid the eye and cheek from cuts using the tiniest scraps.  I used some super pretty and thin iridescent film therefore I layered it on a white circle.  The spiral is cut from an alcohol ink scrap I had on my desk.

I stamped the sentiment on a Kindred Stamps sentiment strip, I love these! I used some A muse ink for the first time and loved it.

Ingredients:
Waffle Flower Snail Trio dies
Hero Arts You're a Fungi
A muse Grape ink
Kindred Stamps Sentiment Strip dies
papers from my stash
iridescent film
