Pink & Main Pen Pals with Atlantic Hearts Challenge

Hello!  For this week's sketch I decided to create a batch of cards that were fun yet easy.  You may notice there is no stamping. I acquired this Pink & Main 6x6 paper pad called Pen Pals.  It really had the cutest images and great sentiments on the cut apart pages, so I used this sketch added in the gatefold twist.  I created 7 cards using this sketch and a few other cards that not using this sketch.  I've already shared several of these simple yet unique cards.

Here's this week's sketch.

While the dog was my favorite image, the snail is my second favorite.  Since this paper pad was second hand there were some sheets missing from the pad.  I used the background paper here up quickly while making this batch.

Happy Fall Y'all!  I love this sentiment and those of you that follow me know I love to paper piece.  Creating this lil' turkey was so much fun!  I used lots of specialty papers and plenty of inking to shade my little guy.  I made this using the latest sketch from Atlantic Hearts Challenge Sketch #656.

Here is the sketch, it's so universal.

I absolutely love the plaid background paper I used.  I found coordinating papers especially the golden brown mat layer that brings out the same color in the plaid.

Here's a close up of my paper piecing.

Dance your way through bad days...Wednesday card

Tis the season and another witchy card.  Actually, I did go down a rabbit hole about Wednesday and the conclusion is she is a witch with psychic abilities inherited through her maternal family.  I spent a lot of time piecing this little lady together.

I tried several different adhesives to keep the layer of lace on the dress.  I ended up with glue dots in strategic places on the dress.

I fussy cut slivers of the same black paper as the hair to create the strands that hang down by her face.

Bubble, Bubble, Toil & Trouble Halloween card

A little more October wickedness...another with lots of die cutting, my favorite technique. I used a Tim Holtz Sizzix Mixed Media #1 die to create the green bubble background.  I layered a Spellbinders label die on top with my Quickutz Cauldron die as the focal point. I stamped the sentiment in the corner.

I finished it off with some black sequins.

With Heartfelt Sympathy card

I created a batch of sympathy cards recently. I noticed that my stash of that sentiment was depleted.  Unfortunately, I am glad I made them.  I have sent out two in the last month.  I sent this one to a crafty friend who lost her husband.  The background paper was from a second hand stash that I purchased which was already cut down to A2 size.  I suspect it is Stampin Up but have not confirmed such.  I found some coordinating scraps and die cut the foliage and word.  I stamped and die cut the "with heartfelt".

Ingredients:

Stampin Up Mango Melody ink

Gorjuss Witch card with Creative Memories papers

Today's October post is a cute blonde witch.  I sent this one to a blonde friend of mine for Halloween. I hope she thinks it's a sweet as I do.

I die cut several of the pieces in white and colored them with alcohol markers and distress inks. Other pieces I used printed papers like the dress.  I loved it with three black gems as buttons.

Another view. The banner was a die cut embellishment from the Creative Memories Hocus Pocus paper pack.  I still have one lots of pieces left and one unopened pack!

Leave a little Sparkle card for Atlantic Hearts Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog today.  I am playing around with my bargain paper score from a recent trip to the thrift store.  I got this 6x6 paper pad for only $1!  I embellished with a discounted sticker from Hobby Lobby making this card a real bargain!

I thought the papers very much lent themselves to this week's sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

A close up of this puffy sticker from Hobby Lobby.

I also dug deep to find this lovely metallic ribbon. In person this is quite a sparkly, shiny card.  The sentiment is heat embossing in sparkly embossing powder as well!

Cricut You're a Peach card and necklace

Hello and welcome today.  I have used a Cricut cut today.  It's been a while, I used to use it regularly when I had the Bitten by the Bug blog. I think I had to cease that blog in 2021ish. I also used an embossing folder and manual die cutting to create this peachy card!

A close up of my Cricut cut. I distressed the basket weave with ink to highlight the texture.

I sent this to my friend with an Allman Brothers necklace I made using Craft Fantastic products and an image I absconded from the net.

Ingredients:
Cricut Access peach image with sentiment
