Holly Dolly December birthday card for Atlantic Hearts Challenge

Hello and welcome to my last post as part of the Atlantic Hearts Challenge design team.  Looking ahead to 2026 I have a lot of changes to tackle and I felt it best to step away from regular commitments.  I will still be blogging on occasion and definitely crafting!  The idea of crafting for pure fun and not having to take photos, edit and blog kind of sounds refreshing after so many years on design teams.  I have stuck with Atlantic Hearts so long, because I find sketches so inspiring and easy to work with.  Please keep playing along weekly.

Here is this week's sketch.

Pink & Main Pen Pals with Atlantic Hearts Challenge

Hello!  For this week's sketch I decided to create a batch of cards that were fun yet easy.  You may notice there is no stamping. I acquired this Pink & Main 6x6 paper pad called Pen Pals.  It really had the cutest images and great sentiments on the cut apart pages, so I used this sketch added in the gatefold twist.  I created 7 cards using this sketch and a few other cards that not using this sketch.  I've already shared several of these simple yet unique cards.

Here's this week's sketch.

While the dog was my favorite image, the snail is my second favorite.  Since this paper pad was second hand there were some sheets missing from the pad.  I used the background paper here up quickly while making this batch.

Scrapbook.com Ballerina Nutcracker card for Atlantic Hearts challenge

Hello, today I am using the Atlantic Hearts Challenge Sketch 658.  I grabbed some last year purchases from Scrapbook.com to create this Nutcracker card. I love this set and got it on a great deal last year.  It was part of kit that was not used in the class.  I had to get it out and use the precious ballerina.

Karen Burniston Feathered Friends for Atlantic Hearts Challenge

Happy Fall Y'all!  I love this sentiment and those of you that follow me know I love to paper piece.  Creating this lil' turkey was so much fun!  I used lots of specialty papers and plenty of inking to shade my little guy.  I made this using the latest sketch from Atlantic Hearts Challenge Sketch #656.

Here is the sketch, it's so universal.

I absolutely love the plaid background paper I used.  I found coordinating papers especially the golden brown mat layer that brings out the same color in the plaid.

Here's a close up of my paper piecing.

Ingredients:
Karen Burniston Feathered Animals die set
Joy's Life stamps It's all Fall Puns stamps
A Muse French Roast ink
Kindred Stamps Dino Dust embossing powder

Heartfelt Creations and Picket Fence Studios Slim line card for Atlantic Hearts Challenge

Welcome to November!  I have switched gears from spooky to sweet for this week's Atlantic Hearts Challenge Sketch 354. I went way back and pulled out my Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed Fleur stamp and die set. I always thought their products were so pretty and I own quite a bit from being dazzled at scrapbook and paper crafting conventions. Some are still NIP but some I have used quite a few times, this is one of my favorite floral sets although it's been a while.

Play along with this week's sketch HERE.

I stamped and heat embossed the flowers, then inked them up with some Distress Inks. I wiped down the flowers to shine up the embossing after inking up.  Finally, I added a blob of thick liquid glue and sprinkled microbeads over the centers  I say finally, but really the last step is shaping the flowers, you can't get too crazy after adding the centers so I find it pretty easy to shape by hand.  I used some up some old foliage (vellum with white embossing) and created coordinating leaves.

I stamped the sentiment and embossed it.  I die cut it with a tag die.  Layering the flowers and foliage was the fun part.

Ingredients:
Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed Fleur and Delightful Daisies Stamps and dies
Versamark ink
Stampendous Pearlustre Moonstone embossing powder
Tim Holtz Distress inks: Weathered Wood, Stormy Sky, Forest Moss and Rustic Wilderness
Spellbinders tag die
Stampin Up Birthday Blossoms stamp sentiment
A Muse French Roast ink
Stamp N Stuff Chocolate Brown embossing powder
Picket Fence Slimline Nested Rectangle dies
microbeads

Witch Please Bewitched card for Atlantic Hearts Challenge

Witch Please!  I had so much fun with this one.  I stamped and colored one of the hat stamps from the Stampin Up set I used.  I then punched the hat and the band. I layered that on a scrap piece of paper, this is my one and only card with it.  I just love it!  If someone can identify it leave me a comment below.  I would love to have more!

You can play along with this sketch on the blog HERE.

I stamped my sentiment and cut it down to fit.  I used a tearing tool for the top of the witch hat paper.  I inked all the edges.  I added sheer ribbon and popped up the witches hat on pop dots.  I finished off the card with sequins in the upper left corner.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up Bewitched Stamp set and Witches Builder Punch
Kindred Stamps Weirdos sentiment stamp
Stampin Up Black ink
misc papers and card stock
sheer ribbon
sequins
