another rusted sun layout

This is another old layout, the first time I used the Fancy Pants Rusted Sun line.  I loved the bright colors and flowers with the tie dye and scenic pics of Nelson Ledges Quarry near Toledo, OH.

you are my sunshine traditional layout

Here is the traditional page I made with the same pictures I used in the Be Young digital layout.  I made this one a few years ago.  I used patterned Creative Memories paper in the old 10x12 size.  I freehanded the sun and clouds.

Creative Memories Be Young Boy Digital Addition

With this layout I started with a click and fill predesigned page.  I picked out several 4 picture templates but chose this one because of the angular ribbons reminded me of the pictures themselves.  Logan is my number one subject matter!  I used all Be Young Boy Digital Addition pieces from Creative Memories.

Creative Memories Rugged Digital Layout

I used a pre-designed page and the Creative Memories Rugged Digital Power Palette for the great layout of my son from the Cincinnati Zoo many moons ago.

More Key West Layouts

Here I used the Fancy Pants Rusted Sun line.  On this first page I used a full page overlay with flocked "waves"  I put some of the pictures on top and some underneath.  I put the journal box on with a surfboard brad from the same line.  I used the CM tearing tool to tear one sheet of the paper to use on both pages.

The same paper reversed.  I matted with  red bazzil cardstock and the blue and yellow are old CM cardstock.  I cut out a surfboard from the paper and popped it up with pop dots and used a surfboard rubon.  The title is a rubon on the red bazzil cardstock.  I completed 24 pages of Logan's trip to Key West in July 2010 with my dad this past  weekend. I didn'tjournal much, I am waiting for Logan to return from his visit with granddad this summer to help me with it.

Key West Layouts

I used Storytellers Club paper from July 2011.  I found a random printed antique whitewash paper to make the mats.  I used thickers felt green alphabet for the titles matted on the above paper.  Bling is a new marbled style from Hobby Lobby's store brand.  I also used Yellow Bicycle overlay and miscellaneous ribbon.

Page two uses the same Storytellers Club paper reversed and the same ribbon and bling with another Yellow Bicycle overlay.  I fussy cut some of the waves.

I used the same paper (Storyteller's Club gives you four sheets of each style double sided paper in a monthly kit)  It also comes with matching die cuts that did not suit my needs.  Here I added some touch of Jolee's glitter fishes and another sticker sheet of glitter tropical stickers.  I matted all the stickers, one of those old school useful tips that I just recently saw on a dvd from I borrowed from the library.  I also used the new wave border maker cartridge with the Creative Memories Border Maker System.

A close up of the waves border I made.  I used both the vanilla and blue bazill cardstock (always included in Storyteller's Club monthly kits) and layered the waves-love it!

Page 2 of this spread uses the reverse of the paper, more of the matted Jolee's and matted miscellaneous matted glitter stickers.  I layered the bazzil cardstock, a Yellow Bicycle overlay and some of the Jolee's stickers.  More border waves!

Close up of the "porthole" I created.

New Creative Memories Mediterranean Market Layouts

I just recieved my new Mediterranean Market Paper Pack and Sticker packs.  I have used all three in this layout.  Logan and my Dad took a trip to Key West, Florida.  Logan @ age 10 took all of these pictures.  I think he did a pretty good job!  I used a CM tearing tool to tear 3 of the patterned papers from the kit and used the CM Green cardstock.  I matted the photo with the embossed yellow paper.  The photo doesn't do it justice.

On page two of the layout I also used the tearing tool and green cardstock to make a folded half page to add more pictures.  I used the leafy patterned paper for the full page.

Here is the door "open".  This is a technique I am going to incorporate into my next class.

Partially "open"

Close up of the Mediterranean Market Letters and a leafy sticker.

I filled this page up with pictures, the background is a patterned paper.  I used the embossed yellow paper to mat the photo and the embossed turquoise paper to layer the sticker Logan received on the tour he took around Key West.

Page two is also filled with pictures.  I used the embossed turquoise paper and a torn strip of patterned paper with some sticker embellishments.
