Owl card

This is a cute card I made last year. I started with a DCWV card.  I really wanted to put those googly eyes on something and this owl seemed perfect.  I stamped with staz on on acetate and used a wispy leafy paper.  The frame stamp is a really cute one I purchased on ebay.

Sugar Magnolia Creative Memories Reminisce Digital Layout

This digital layout begins with a Reminisce Summer Predesigned Page and added a couple of overlays one in a tone used in the layout and the other in white to bring out the white in the flowers.  I love this predesigned page because of the sunshine!  This tree was in my sisters's front yard.  It was damaged by a tornado years later and die a year after the damage.  

Creative Memories Cheerful Digital Pages

I ran across some pictures from 2006, a year I skipped over in traditional scrapbooking along with 2007 and I am still only on 2010!  Anyway, I wanted to show off these colorful children's pictures.  I started with a Creative Memories click and fill page and filled it with Cheerful Tropical papers and elements.  Then came back through and replaced some of the patterns with Cheerful Power Palette papers.  The font is Ollie.  I love the sun, it and all the elements are from the Cheerful Tropical Addition except the "Celebrate" quote which is from Cheerful Power Palette.  Fun and bright!

Creative Memories Digital Hummingbird Layout

I whipped up this layout with a Creative Memories click and fill page from III I think.  I filled 3 picture spots with the Nancy O'Dell Hummingbird flowers adding a few leaves.  Since I only had one picture I thought it was simple while remaining decorative.  I love the Hummingbird Kit it has a watercolor look to it.

I made a few improvements on a previous version.  One of the perks of digital scrapbooking! I turned the photos to sepia to flow with the layout more and tone down the old black and white photo.  I shrunk the round picture because it was too big for the resolution.  I also moved it up out of the corner because it was cut off when I actually printed it. 

A bit of feedback I received from the CM digital Facebook page suggested using the "glow" element.  I did this with a purple glow but I think the sepia was more of an improvement in toning the old pictures.  I also copied the purple ribbon from the top and pasted it on the bottom to bring out the purple accents.  Better!

Here is a digital layout I recently did about my mother's side of the family.  I obtained the pictures from her research on ancestry.com.  I posted this on the CM Heritage Album virtual crop and received some helpful hints to improve it.  Let's see what I can do with a little tweaking.

Girly Layouts from a Mega Meet class

I Love it when pictures perfectly fit a layout I have previously made in a class!  This was a beautiful page to put Hana's11th birthday pictures!

I think I made this in the same class I had to put B's cute little butt on there!  These are the last two pages of my set of 6 2009 albums!  These papers and embellishments are My Mind's Eye's Lost and Found Collection.

I found some paper with Washington and Mt. Vernon on it perfect!

To make the second page I used Reminisce and the creamy color was the old Cherish Perfect Fit.  I embellished with Reminisce flowers and stickers finishing with brads from Hobby Lobby.  This is one of my fold out pages to place more pictures on the page.  I didn't take a picture of inside the fold on this one.

I used an overlay I purchased at Mega Meet in Michigan a couple of years ago. I knew I would get a chance to use it!  The red paper is the old Celebrate.

The grey is also from an old perfect fit palette, Mod I believe.  I just wanted some simple straight lines to mock the simpleness of the overlay.  I found these epoxy stickers at a scrapbooking store.

Boy layout with Discover

Another day at Fairview Park.  It is so easy to walk here we often visit.  The long one way road makes for a safe city street to ride.  There is always something to explore like the steps.  I read recently that the City no longer has the money to keep up all the steps and a group has formed to save the city steps by keeping up maintenance and utilizing them!  Apparently steps are good excercise, I guess I wouldn't know that...LOL!  Actually my knees are getting old and steps can sometimes hurt them, so I avoid steps now, but that is hard when your scrapbooking room is on the third floor!  Laundry in the basement, Matt counted the number one time, I think it is 60 plus steps!  I should take this set of steps more often, I have a friend who lives at the bottom.  We live so close, we should see each other more often.
