Leprechaun Elmo for Bitten By the Bug 2

Hello readers it's time for a new Bitten by the Bug 2's latest challenge St. Patrick's Day/Green.  I chose to create a card for my nephew.  I hope he likes Elmo as a Leprechaun.

Here's a close up of Elmo.

It was no problem cutting the clovers from the Holidays Through the Year Iron On cartridge.  I simply didn't use the mirror image toggle when I cut...easy peasy it's a regular image.  Sometimes I leave out a layer or two depending on what they add to a many layer cut such as Elmo.  The two layers of red really made his arms pop, therefore, I left all the layers in this image.

Ingredients:
Cricut carts:  Sesame Street Celebrations and Holiday Through the Year Iron On
misc papers and card stock from my stash

Welcome!  I created a baby themed shaker card for this blog hop.  I began with the baby animal confetti. I used some swiss dot paper as my background.

I found the double stitched circle dies very nice for the shaker card.  It is very easy to produce a ring with both sides stitched.  It looks so finished!

Thank Ewe Cricut Card

I had so much fun with the Bitten By the Bug 2's Thank you challenge that I created another card.  I did dress up the front of this one a little bit with some woolly paper, a manual die cut and an old Creative Memories sticker in red to tie in with the interior.  The base is a double sided card stock, yellow on one side and gray on the other.

And POP!  the cutest interior!  I didn't embellish this at all.  The writing is a feature of this card's design and I used a pen in my Cricut Explore Air.

Ingredients:
Cricut cartridge: Simple Pop Up Cards
Frantic Stamper Cut Corner Stitched Rectangle die
Creative Memories tractor sticker
Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalking ink Cool Gray
misc card stock
black pen

Artfully Sent Pop Up Thank you card

Hi there!  I created another Cricut Thank you card for the latest Bitten By the Bug 2 Thank you challenge.  You have until March 10 to join in the challenge.  This one is pretty simple except for the texture of the Flower Soft.

Surprise!  I love a nice pop up!  This one is so sunny!

I haven't played with Flowersoft too much.  This is probably the most experience I have had with the product.  I purchased several jars at a crafty yard sale.  I should really watch a video or two.  I am still fairly pleased with the texture it added to my card.

Ingredients:
Close to my Heart Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge
various card stock from my stash
Flower Soft Nut Brown
Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalking inks:  Mocha Moma, Desert Sun, and Cool Grey

CAS Thanks with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Good morning and welcome to this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge inspiration.  I love the simplicity of this week's sketch.  I did want to jazz it up a bit. So I tried an idea I have done a previously but it has been a while.  I stacked three die cuts just slightly offset.  I made the cut from three different papers and card stock for a real pop on top of a textured base.

Here's the sketch for this week:

A close up of my triple layered die.  The bottom layer is a shimmer white, then a turquoise blue card stock and finally the tie dye print paper.  I added a nice resin flower on top of a triple bow made with my Craft Dee Bowz.

Ingredients:
Spellbinders Phrases set one
Quick Quotes Caribbean Blue Powderpuff chalking ink
card stock and paper
satin ribbon

Thank you card for Bitten By the Bug 2 challenge

Welcome to the the Bitten By the Bug 2's biweekly Cricut challenge.  The theme this turn is Thank You cards.

I used this great paper (sorry I am not sure what brand) that is yellow on one side and grey on the other.  I am thinking it may be some variation of Co'ordinations papers.  It made for a really neat card and envy set.

Ingredients:
Cricut cart: Creative Everyday Cards
papers from my stash
gems
Quick Quotes Powderpuff  chalking ink Cool Grey

Sympathy card for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Good morning. welcome to my inspiration for this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I used materials from several different manufacturers.  My idea began with the Heartfelt Creations leafy branches.  I stamped, embossed, cut and inked these pieces. After all that I shaped them with my fingers.  I think the effort is worth it.  I hope this card makes someone feel special, whomever may receive it in the future.

Here's the sketch:

I liked the soft colors in the Quick Quotes Spring Showers collection. I stamped and embossed my sentiment then die cut for the center piece.

A side view showing the dimension from shaping.

Another close up view of my leaves.

Ingredients:
Quick Quotes Spring Showers paper collection
Heartfelt Creations Open Leaf stamps and classic leaf die
Anna Griffin Chocolate ink with clear embossing powder
Spellbinders Labels Thirty-eight
Hero Arts Caring Thoughts F1030 sentiment stamp
Versamark ink and Recollections Pesto Pearl embossing powder
Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalkng inks:  Cactus and Green with Envy

Birthday with Paper Craft Crew sketch

My son's birthday is coming up and while I wanted to create something more personal, I had most of these items in my stash of card pieces and scrap paper.  It kind of all just fell together with the sketch inspiration.  I think it is still very him...blue and green.

Here's the sketch I used from Paper Craft Crew:

I had the embossed card in my stash just waiting for enhancement.  I had created the distress background long ago when I first purchased Distress inks...these were my first colors!  Can you imagine how many colors I have now?  At least I can answer, not ALL of them, but most.  I also have a lot of the Distress Oxide colors...I would own more but that is a disappointing story for another post.

I found scraps of the shimmer pear and blue weave papers then stamped the sentiment to match the balloons already stamped and die cut.  I inked up all the edges and highlighted the embossed base.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up Balloon Celebration and Balloon Punch (purchased 2/8/16)
Birthday Sentiment SU Designer Tee Sale-a-bration (2/2017) with Modern Label punch
Distress inks: Broken China, Twisted Citron, and Faded Jeans
misc card stock and papers
Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalking ink Cactus and Blue Moon
Tim Holtz Notebook embossing folder
gems

Aloha Pineapple card with Quick Quotes

TGIF!  Let's get this party started with another pineapple card    If you missed the first one, HERE it is.  On this card, I used the same Quick Quotes papers and less embellishments so that it would be more flat and hence mail-able.  I also tried a paper band closure.

I did use a few gems on this card but only on the outside so the fold would be as flat as possible.

I chose this Stamplorations Aloha as the sentiment.  In keeping with the soft pastels of the Quick Quotes papers, I used a Distress embossing powder.

The back fully extended.  I cut a dozen leaf sections to cover both the front and back sides of the card.  I also fully decorated the back with the matching oval dies.I split the two side panels down the center for an easier fold.

Ingredients:
Sizzix Jen Long Fold a long Pineapple die
Quick Quotes Sonata and Spring Showers papers
Quick. Quotes Powderpuff chalking inks:  Green with Envy, Desert Sun, Humuhuma-nukunuku-apua'a (a very special Hawaiian inspired color)
Stamplorations Aloha sentiment
Versamark ink
Tim Holtz Distress embossing powder Antique Linen
gems
