Distressed Valentine's ATC's

I don't often make ATC's but I find them very freeing.  I like to try new techniques on them like Tim Holtz does on his tags.  Here I have layered an embossed base card, corrugated paper, then a Tim Holtz card.

I punched doilies from paper then sprayed with ink.  I also added a pin that I made and a Creative Memories sentiment sticker.  Finally, I heavily distressed the edges with Quick Quotes Midnight Confessions.

Here's the whole lot I made for a swap:

Ingredients:
Tim Holtz papers
Corrugated  paper
Stampin Up Doily punch
beads and pins
Creative Memories sentiment stickers
Tattered Angels barn red spray ink
Paper Studio embossing folder
Quick Quotes Midnight Confession

Watercoloring with the Quick Quotes New Powderpuff Chalking inks

Hello Quick Quotes readers, Alicia with you today with a pretty little thank you card. I used many of the new 2016 PowderPuff Chalking Inks  and a water brush to color this pretty image.  I love the new soft, subtle colors in the Chiffon collection. I like how it has an earthy feel with the ribbon mimicking the ground.

As with any coloring begin with the lightest color first, in this case Lemon Sorbet PowderPuff Chalking Ink.  In the second frame I came in with the darker yellow, Desert Sun PowderPuff Chalking Ink.  I tried to use a dark and light of each color for more dimension, I used all new colors except for Creamy Cocoa PowderPuff Chalking Ink which was the light to Milk Chocolate PowderPuff Chalking Ink.

Quick Quotes Happy Heart Day cards

Can you believe it is almost Valentine's Day?  Alicia with you today making some cards for this lovely holiday.  I adore making Valentine's because you can still put hearts, pearls and fancy ribbon on a man's card.

Shhh!  I may give this one to my husband.  It is simple yet has some pearly embellishments and ribbon.  But the wow factor comes when the winged heart pops up upon opening the card! It is surprisingly flat and fits very nicely into an A2 envelope!

I used two layers since there was nothing behind the pop up.  I layered the back with Whistlin Dixie 104 paper.  I really like how the arrows sneak out behind the heart...so Valentine's!  I finished it up with a love sentiment inside and some heart punches heavily distressed with the brand new Barn Board PowderPuff Chalking Ink, a fantastic deep red ink.

I made a second card while I was at it.  Here,  I used more leftovers from past Club Q kits and just layered hearts upon hearts with some pearly goodness thrown in for good measure.

Quick Quotes products used:
Club Q July kit (leftover papers and die cuts)
Club Q December kit (leftover pearls and brad)

Other products:
Spellbinders labels
Sizzix  label and pop up dies
Creative Memories punches
Stampin Up stamps: Tags for you and Perfectly you
SU/Sizzix Top Note die (card #2)
heart doily (card #2)
metal filigree

Music layout with Sketch N Scrap February Sketch

Time flies!  Can you believe we are in February already?  Here is the brand new layout sketch at  Sketch N Scrap.  I am still finishing up those last few pages of my 2011 albums.  Yes, albumS...5 Creative Memories albums.  I am crazy.  I find these days my kid doesn't let me take his pic, so I am treasuring all the ones I got to take so much more.  Still, I strive to be more and more selective of the photos I scrap.

Although I have years and years of orchestra and soccer photos.  He still plays soccer but now he is behind the scenes in his school productions...so no photos or MOM's allowed.

I found this sketch perfect for these pics.

I have tons of musical embellishments and was happy to use one of these...since I have two sets.

It is a really cool paper piecing set.  I love being able to chalk the edges of each layer separately.

Can you guess how old these sticker letters are?  Leave you guess below for a little happy mail to the closest guess.  You have a week to leave a comment, open to Canada and Mexico, since it will just be a stuff envie.

Ingredients:
GCD Antiquities Let's Ride
Basic Grey 25th and Pine Snowflake
HOTP Papier Tole Magical Music
Creative Memories Distress tool
Mrs. Grossman's sticker letters
Quick Quotes Midnight Confessions
misc ribbon and brads
