Welcome to my inspiration for the last Bitten By the Bug 2's challenge for 2020. We are partnering with Double Trouble for a year end challenge Any holiday project with a die cut qualifies but you get extra entries for using patterned papers and ribbons or bows. I created some holiday boxes to wrap up the giving season.
My first box is cut with my Cricut uses patterned paper and extra embellishments. I dressed up the cut with a felt ribbon around the edge of the lid. I backed the intricate tree cut with some fancy white paper and added pearls to the tree limbs.
I used Anna's Holiday Home Decor for this one. Check out my pearly additions.
My second box wasn't from a holiday image set but with the assist of a Christmas patterned paper stack it is magically a holiday gift box. I used the Cricut Box it Up cartridge. I edged the finish box with chalking ink. I finished off the box with a manually die cut bow. The red layer is a Cricut layer unlike the box above where I simply cut a square to add behind the cut.
My final box is shaped. It did take a little more finesse to adhere but wasn't really hard. I did have to think about the direction of the pattern with this one. There were several papers that wouldn't work with this one. Next time will be even better as this choice wasn't perfect but I was limited myself to the same paper stack.
I used the image set Holiday Gift Boxes. I added the same felt ribbon but still wanted a little bit "more". The winter white shiny eyelash fiber was the perfect final touch.

Amazing gift boxes! I could see why some extra thinking was required for that shaped box. Many patterned papers wouldn't work so well! You've done a great job. Thanks for joining us at Die Cut Divas.
